LOCAL FUN RUN


"Campus on the Run." Saturday, March 27, 2010 @ 9:30 AM. Campus on the Run is a 5K (3.1 mile) road race on the WSU campus. Both runners and walkers (students and teachers) are encouraged to participate. The cost is $14. You get a t-shirt and some snacks. The proceeds go to an organization called Backyard Harvest. This is an organization that is involved in growing organic food to donate to local food banks. Please let Ms. Allington know if you would be interesting in participating. Registration deadline is March 12.

JR/SR High School News


1.) Girls Basketball Banquet: High School Girls Basketball Players and Managers - Tuesday, March 9 is the night for the basketball banquet. Dinner will be served at 7:00PM. Your families are invited. Food assignments: Seniors - enchiladas or main dish & salad; Juniors - enchiladas or main dish & case of water; Sophomore -enchiladas or main dish & dessert and Freshman - dessert & salad.

2.) All Girls in grades 8-11 interested in playing volleyball for next season, please meet Mr. Caldwell in the commons for Activity Period TODAY.

3.) All Cheer Squad members: Please meet Monday at 6:00 p.m. in the multi to turn in all equipment and (cleaned)uniforms. Thank you!

4.) LUCKY DAWG RAFFLE! The GHS Class of 2010 Safe and Sober Graduation Committee is sponsoring a raffle with cash prizes of $1500, $1000, and $500! Tickets are available from all senior parents. Tickets will be sold for $10 each through the end of March. The drawing will be held on April 15. Get your tickets now!

5.) The following students need to pay the Genesee School District Travel Fee of $15 to the high school office(for FFA travel): Thomas, Erin G, Mallory, and Sam Hoffman.

6.) BPA State: Phil, Ken, and Brandan: get your BPA State money to me ASAP! See me for the amounts if you don’t know. Everyone should check their Bulldog Email for schedules and other important information about the state conference next week. See you on the bus at 5 am next Thursday! –Mr. Crowley

7.) Juniors and Seniors: If you would like to get more information about Eastern Oregon University, an admissions counselor from EOU will be here during fourth period and lunch on Thursday, March 4th. If your fourth period teacher will allow you to visit with her during class you can find her in the conference room next to Mr. Scripter's office. She will also have an information table set up in the Commons during the lunch hour.

8.) SOPHOMORES who STILL have not paid - you now owe $16!! Please get your money in. (Sophomore class officers - perhaps it now time to remind the particular individuals?)

9.)*Note: All non-satisfied fees, fines or debts; and any equipment or uniforms that have not been returned; will need to be taken care of before students can complete the final check-out process for summer break. Additionally, if not paid before summer, then you will need to pay prior to registration in the fall. FYI.

REMINDER: The Elementary After School Study Hall is a program for students to work on class assignments and homework. Once the work is complete, students are excused to go home. There are no “activities” for students to be involved in, as this is NOT an after school child care program. Thank you.
