Distinguished Young Women Program


Please plan to attend the 2013 Distinguished Young Women (formerly Junior Miss) program Sat, Mar 31st at 7 pm in the High School Multi Purpose Room. The cost of attendance
is $10 adults and $7 students and senior citizens. Come and support Karli, Payton P, Destiny and Payton AT on their quest in earning scholarship awards for their future.
The Festival Dance group will also be performing. Thanks to all for your support of this valuable scholarship program!


Spring Break!


There will be no school for Genesee students this Friday, March 30. This is a day scheduled for parent conferences. Next week is Genesee's Spring Break. We hope you have a fun and restful week. School resumes Monday, April 9 at 8:00 a.m.

Junior High and High School News


Good luck to the JH Girls and Boys basketball teams as they take on Deary at home tonight in games beginning at 4:30.

Good luck to the Softball team as they take on Highland at Airport field beginning at 4:30. We will keep you updated here and make an announcement if we hear of a cancellation.

Congratulations to the JHBB teams on their victories over Potlatch last night.

Congratulations to the Track team for their successes at the Lapwai meet yesterday. There were many personal records and great job to Kristen Nash for winning the 2 mile and to Sam Vestal for winning the long jump.

Junior High and High School News


Great effort by the JHGB teams in Potlatch last night. The 8th grade team won and the 7th grade team was defeated.

Good luck to the JHBB teams as they travel to Potlatch tonight for games beginning at 5:30.

The baseball team is scheduled to play in Clearwater Valley at 4:30 this afternoon with the bus leaving at 1:30. The softball team is scheduled to play Troy at Airport Field at 4:45 this afternoon. Bus time will be 3:25 for the girls. We will keep you posted on any cancellations.

Good luck to the track participants attending a meet in Lapwai today at 3:00, activity bus will leave at 1:30.

The softball and baseball games scheduled for today have been canceled. Softball will practice right after school in the gym. Baseball will practice at the Catholic Center, seniors/ juniors at 3:30 and sophomores/freshmen at 4:30.

Tonight's JH girls basketball 7th grade game in Kendrick will only be two quarters beginning at 5:30. The 8th grade team will play a full game. Good luck Bulldogs!

Track bus will leave tomorrow at 12:25 for a meet beginning at 3:00 in Kamiah. Good luck!

Bountiful Baskets


If you are interested in ordering a produce basket this week, please remember to have your order in by this evening at www.bountifulbaskets.org. Pick up will be at 4:30 Saturday afternoon at the school. Baskets cost $16.50 and contain approximately $50 worth of produce.


Junior High and High School News


Great effort by the JH Girls and Boys basketball teams last night. The girls took on Troy at home. The 7th grade team was defeated while the 8th grade team won. The boys teams traveled to Deary and were both defeated.

Good luck to the JH teams tonight. The girls travel to Deary for games beginning at 5:30 while the boys host Troy beginning at 5:30.

Congratulations to the Baseball team who won 2 and lost 1 in tournament play in Asotin over the weekend.

Congratulations to the Girls and Boys JH basketball teams who played well Friday night against Kendrick. Both Girls teams and the Boys B team won and the Boys A team was defeated.

Bountiful Baskets


This is a not for profit produce co-op. If you are interested in receiving low cost fresh produce, Genesee is now hosting a distribution site. For more information, log on to bountifulbaskets.org. Baskets are available for $16.50 and contain approximately $50 worth of produce. You must order your basket by Tuesday each week and pick up will be on Saturday.

Due to school-wide illness in Deary, the JHBB game scheduled for today in Deary has been postponed until Monday, March 19th. Games will start at 5:30pm as originally planned.

Postponement


Due to school-wide illness in Deary, the JHBB game scheduled for tomorrow in Deary has been postponed until Monday, March 19th. Games will start at 5:30pm as originally planned.


Hunter Education Course


This class will be held in Genesee beginning March 7. Registration for the class is required and is available online at http://fishandgame.idaho.gov or contact Bill Seybold at 208-285-0206. More information is available in the office.

Basketball Clinic


The Genesee Boys Basketball team will be leading a basketball clinic on March 10 from 9-1 at the High School Gym. Students may still attend for a $15 fee(no shirt), please get forms in by March 10th. Proceeds from this clinic benefit the Cindy Stout Fundraiser. Thank you.


Bulldog Bingo ~ March 17, 2012


Bring the whole family for an evening of food and fun! We will have dinner and an evening of Bingo with fun prizes for all ages. Dinner starts at 5:30 and Bingo starts at 6:15. Check out our raffle items below! Tickets are $1 each and may be purchased the night of Bulldog Bingo.

Congratulations to Katelyn Phillips, Jack Hermann and Sam Druffel who were selected to the District II North All-Star Basketball Teams! The games will be played March 6th at Lewiston HS beginning at 6:00 pm. Congratulations as well to Coach Boyd who will be coaching!

Good Luck to the Bulldog Boys Basketball team as they take on Liberty Charter tonight at 5:15(PST)@ Vallivue High School in Nampa. Good luck at State!

Students attending the state tournament: remember to take your student ID with you for discounted admission ticket prices to the games.

Elementary and secondary students planning to attend the boys basketball state tournament as spectators need to have a completed pre-arranged absence form turned in to the office before you leave.
