For Friday Events, The Genesee FFA Parli Team A
Took 1st Place at Districts and will represent The
North Idaho District at State in April.
Genesee Parli Team A Consists of
Brianna Murray, Tessa Renton, Ben Kopf, Virginia Monk,
Kjersti Clawson and Alysha O’Connell. Ben Kopf won High Chairman. The Genesee Parli B Team received 3rd
place and consisted of Jadon Mader, Daphne Buckland, Winston Durham,
Cameron Barton, Kaylee Flodin and Marcus Johnson. Sara Trees
took 3rd place
in Prepared Public Speaking and 2nd in Agronomy. Agronomy team won 1st place with
Emily as High Individual
And Hayden as 3rd High Individual.
The rest of the team
Consisted of Jaeli Peterson, Kjersti Clawson,
Brandon Stout,
Alysha O’Connell, Tessa Renton, Marcus Johnson and Jadon Mader.
Our own Sara Trees and Virginia Monk received District
Office with Sara as Sentinel and Virginia as Treasurer.

Genesee Group performance times at the Lionel Hampton Jazz
Festival this week.
On Monday, February 29th
The Jazz Groups from Genesee will travel (by
bus) to Moscow to hold the annual Jazz Concert at 7pm in the Haddock
Recital Hall at the University of Idaho Music Building. The concert will
feature Genesee Jazz groups and the University of Idaho Jazz Choir 1.
Buses leave at 6:00p.m.
This concert is free and we encourage Genesee residents to
attend. We hope you can make it!

Junior Girls:
Idaho Syringa Girls State will be
held June 12 – 17, 2016 at Northwest Nazarene College in
Nampa, Idaho. Local delegates are chosen by the Genesee American Legion
Auxiliary. If you are interested in going to Girls State, please fill out
the interest form and email to wwoods@genesee-id.com or call me at 208-305-3990 on
or before Mar 15, 2016. For more information about Girls State

Sports This Week
Congratulations to the Boys Basketball Team!
The Boys basketball team defeated Riverstone Saturday
to qualify for the state basketball tournament! There will be a team send-off
at 9:45am in the
gym on
Wednesday, and the team will leave immediately after the
send-off. Please excuse the team, managers and cheerleaders to load the bus at 9:30am. Please excuse the band at 9:35a.m. to get their instruments.
The boy's bball team will face Ambrose Academy on Thursday at 8pm. You can

The JH Basketball
teams will have their first home games on Tuesday, March 1, beginning
at 4:30pm. Girls will play first, followed by boys around 6:30pm.
