Elementary After School Program

 The Civic Association Easter Egg Hunt will be this Saturday, March 30th at 10 a.m. sharp!  All children 5th grade and under are welcome to come hunt eggs filled with toys, candy and money!  And don’t forget to look for the gold egg for a special prize.  See you there!


Spring Break


Genesee School District will begin Spring Break with no school this Friday, March 29 and will continue through next week. School will resume Monday, April 8 at 8:00 a.m. Enjoy your time off!


Lucky Dawg Raffle


Please support the Class of 2013 Safe and Sober Graduation by purchasing a raffle ticket. Tickets are $10 each and are available from any Genesee Senior Parent. First prize is $1000, second prize is $500 and the third name drawn will receive $250. The drawing will be held on April 15. Thank you for your support of Genesee High School's Class of 2013!

Good luck to the JH Girls and Boys Basketball teams as they finish their seasons at home tonight against Deary beginning at 4:30.

Good luck to the Softball team as they play Potlatch in a double header tonight beginning at 5:00 at Airport field.

Great job JH Basketball Teams last night against Potlatch.

Congratulations to the following track athletes: Reggie won both the shot and discus (Personal Best in the Discus at 133 feet) Tyler won the 400, was 2nd in the 200 and 4th in the 100. Evan was 4th in the 400.

The following students will have a pizza lunch today in Mr. Derting's Room (from last month's PRIDE Assembly): Austen, Steven, Sammy, Coy, Trent, Ryan K., Ben D., Reece D., Reggie, Sydney C., Beau and Rhett.

To celebrate Women’s History Month, actress Melinda Strobel brings her one-woman production to Genesee Senior Center, on Saturday March 23, @ 7 PM. This composite presentation introduces audiences to a variety of women who helped shape the American West. Among them are Bethenia Owens-Adair, the
first woman doctor in Oregon, stage-coach driver Charley Parkhurst, and Idaho’s own Molly b’ Dam’, the legend of Murray. Melinda Strobel studies at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art
and has a degree in theatre from Willamette University. She has performed on stage and in film projects both in Oregon and Atlanta, Georgia, and has toured extensively across the United States with her one-woman show, Susan B. Anthony: The Napoleon of the Movement. This Program is FREE to the public and is supported by the Idaho Humanities Council, and Latah County Libraries of Moscow and Genesee.

To celebrate Women’s History Month, actress Melinda Strobel brings her one-woman production to Genesee Senior Center, on Saturday March 23, @ 7 PM. This composite presentation introduces audiences to a variety of women who helped shape the American West. Among them are Bethenia Owens-Adair, the
first woman doctor in Oregon, stage-coach driver Charley Parkhurst, and Idaho’s own Molly b’ Dam’, the legend of Murray. Melinda Strobel studies at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art
and has a degree in theatre from Willamette University. She has performed on stage and in film projects both in Oregon and Atlanta, Georgia, and has toured extensively across the United States with her one-woman show, Susan B. Anthony: The Napoleon of the Movement. This Program is FREE to the public and is supported by the Idaho Humanities Council, and Latah County Libraries of Moscow and Genesee.

The Distinguished Young Women program will be held this Saturday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Multi purpose room.  Come out and show your support for Sydney Cornell, Gabriella "James" Yockey, Sophie Draznin-Nagy, Michelle Moore, Stephanie Becker, Brittney Burt, and Kamri Sams.  This year's theme is "Footloose".  Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for students at the door.

Distinguished Young Women 


The Distinguished Young Women program will be held this Saturday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Multi purpose room.  Come out and show your support for Sydney Cornell, Gabriella "James" Yockey, Sophie Draznin-Nagy, Michelle Moore, Stephanie Becker, Brittney Burt, and Kamri Sams.  This year's theme is "Footloose".  Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for students at the door. 

 

Computers for Kids Applications


There are applications in the HS Office for Computers for Kids. The deadline to submit an application is March 31. This is a great program for students who don't have a computer at home.


Bulldog Bingo Night


SATURDAY, MARCH 23, GENESEE SCHOOL MULTIPURPOSE ROOM
Dinner @ 5:30 p.m.($5/Adults, $3/K-12, $15 max family cost) Bingo starts @ 6:15 p.m.  $5 per card – the whole family can play all evening to win some really great prizes! Support the local food bank, too! For every can of food brought, one ticket will be given for drawings of some fun door prizes!

Genesee Elementary will host Family Engineering Night tonight in the Multipurpose Room at 6:00 p.m. for 2nd-6th graders and their families. Free childcare, provided by Genesee's Distinguished Young Women participants, is available for younger siblings.
