Spring State Testing


Parents of students in grades 3-11:  The schedule for spring standardized State testing has been posted on the school district website under "Notices & Alerts" at: www.sd282.org.  Please check it periodically and we would appreciate it if you would please make every effort to have your student well rested and in attendance on days they are scheduled for assessment.  Thank you for your assistance. 


FFA Banquet


The FFA Banquet is Friday, May 1 in the multi-purpose room beginning at 6:00. 


Genesee History Presentation


Earl Bennett, City Historian will present a talk titled: The History of Genesee (Part 2): 1888 Until Today (with a special section on our schools) this Saturday, May 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the Genesee Senior Center located at 140 E. Walnut St. This presentation is sponsored by the Genesee Civic Association and admission is free!
 

Genesee Tball and Pitching Machine Team Information


It’s time for Tball and pitching machine registration in Genesee! Last year we had enough players to form 4 small Tball and 3 small pitching machine teams! Flyers will be out in backpacks soon...please fill out the form, attach $15 for each Tball and $25 for each pitching machine player and get them to Makenzie Stout in 4th grade BEFORE May 10. Season will run June and July and all games and practices will be held here in Genesee! Volunteer coaches are needed!! Questions? email Tammy at dtstout@frontier.com




FFA Flower Sale


The annual FFA Flower Sale will be held May 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Genesee High School Ag. Shop. We currently have bare root strawberry plants for sale for $0.25 each until they are gone. Contact JR Morrow for more information.


Genesee Cow Creek Run


All forms for the annual Community Day Cow Creek Run are available in the High School Office. Community Day is Saturday, June 13 and the run begins at 8:00 a.m. You can choose a 2 mile run or a 5 mile run. There is a relay option for ages 13-18, if you would like to get a team together for the race. The early registration deadline is May 22. Shirts are available, but only to those who register early.

 

Jr. High/High School News


Secondary Students:  PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHARGE YOUR YOGA EVERY NIGHT.  This is important every day, but for those of you in grades 7-10 taking ISAT tests on your Yogas, it is critical that your device is fully charged for your testing sessions.  Also feel free to bring your own ear buds or headphones to use during the tests if you would like. 

Good luck to the Track athletes who are competing in Lewiston today beginning at 1:00.

Good luck to the Softball Team who play today in Kooskia beginning at 4:30.

Good luck to the Baseball Team who play Prairie at home today beginning at 4:30.

Driver's Ed. Students: parent night is this evening in Mr. Sams' classroom from 7:00 to 8:00.

For Beau Tilleman’s Senior Project, we will be having a week-long activity challenge as well as wellness presentations from the sophomore class. You will be released from classes according to the following schedule:

The baseball team is having a BBQ for all players tonight at 6:30 to honor the senior players. Please check with Rhett at practice for location. 

Driver's Ed. Students: parent night this Thursday evening in Mr. Sams' classroom from 7:00 to 8:00.

Elementary Family Arts Night


Please join us for Family Arts Night tonight beginning at 6:30. GES will sing first, followed by singing and dancing for all the elementary grade levels. Artwork by all the students will be on display in the gym foyer. Students should wear their PRIDE shirts.
