COW CREEK RUN

The 30th Annual Cow Creek Run will be held in conjunction with Genesee Community Day on Saturday, June 11th at 8:30 in the morning. Registration forms are available at City Hall and in the High School Office. There are 2 and 5 mile courses that you can choose to run or walk. It's a great way to kick off Community Day and is open to ALL ages, so join in the fun!! Registrations are due by June 1st for Early Registration. Late registrations will be accepted beginning at 7:30 a.m. the morning of the race. Early Registrations including commemorative t-shirts are $12 ($15 for late registers). Early registrations not including t-shirt are $5 ($6 for late registers). *A copy of the registration form is posted on the bulletin board outside the High School Office for additional information, or you can contact Kathy Zenner, Cow Creek Run Race Coordinator.

2011 Moscow Baseball Association - American Legion / Senior Ruth Tryouts
Tryouts will be held at the Moscow Jr High School Baseball Field. All persons interested MUST be at the try out dates, ready to play ball. Have your cleats, glove, pants, hat, etc. *You will also need a copy of your birth certificate. (Additional information is listed on the flyer posted on the bulletin board outside the High School Office Window.)
Try out Dates are as follows:
Wednesday - May 25th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Thursday - May 26th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

1.) Good Luck to the Baseball Teams who will be playing a double header tomorrow at Harris field. First game vs. CV begins at 10am and the Second follows at Noon vs. Prairie!

2.) Congratulations Genesee Baseball in your decisive wins last night against Timberline!

3.) The Jr. High Boys Basketball teams will have their end-of-season dessert banquet on May 4th at 7:00 p.m. 7th graders plan to bring a dessert and 8th graders bring ice cream. See you there! *Please NOTE the time change and we will be meeting in the Commons. ***Athletes, please stop by Mr. Crowley's room to vote for the awards by end of day on Tuesday, May 3rd.

ISAT Test Change

Because of the Mars Rover competition on Friday, we will be moving Mr. Sams 6th grade ISAT from Friday morning to Thursday afternoon at 12:30.

* Thank you to everyone that supported our 2nd Bulldog Bingo in March. It was very successful and fun was had by all! It wouldn’t have been possible without all the support from parents, teachers, businesses and the community. We collected 156 items for the food bank at Bulldog Bingo!

* Teacher Appreciation week is May 2 – 6th. Please remember to show your appreciation for your child’s teacher. We are so fortunate to have such excellent and caring teachers in Genesee!

* Thank you to everyone who has been saving ink cartridges. We get $2 for every cartridge we submit to Staples. Bring in any cartridge or toner (large ones, too) to the office and we will take care of the rest! They really do add up and have allowed us to provide a supply closet for the teachers and pay for other supplies throughout the year!

2011 Moscow Baseball Association - American Legion / Senior Ruth Tryouts
Tryouts will be held at the Moscow Jr High School Baseball Field. All persons interested MUST be at the try out dates, ready to play ball. Have your cleats, glove, pants, hat, etc. *You will also need a copy of your birth certificate. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt at the Upper City Park (the one directly below the school), Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. All children 5th grade and younger are invited to participate. There will be 3 different age groups and prizes awarded!

1.) Good Luck to the Softball Team who will be facing off against Timberline in a double header that WILL NOW BE PLAYED AT AIRPORT PARK (Timberline got several inches of snow last night). Game time is 3:30 p.m. Bus will depart at 1:45 p.m.

2.) Good Luck as well to the track athletes as they travel to Kamiah to compete in a meet beginning at 2:00 p.m.

For your convenience, and to expedite things the night of Prom, picture packets are currently available at the High School Office. You may pick one up and fill it out prior to Prom. ALL prices for couples and groups are listed on the packets. **ADDITIONALLY: Please be aware, if you do not pay the night of Prom, your pictures will NOT be printed. ATHLETES: You are required, by the Activities Contract you all signed, to be in attendance first hour the day following a game(with the exception of a doctor appt that your parent has notified the school about in advance). EVACUATION DRILL - THURSDAY

To make Parents and Community Members aware, Genesee School District will be practicing a planned Evacuation Drill THIS afternoon (4/7/11) at approximately 2:30 p.m. *This will be a full evacuation to our 'off campus' safe site, which is the Genesee Fire Hall. It will also involve practice loading buses at this alternate site. Students and staff will not be returning to the school building until just before dismissal. **There will be a skeleton crew at school to manage phones, however, getting last minute messages to students will be nearly impossible, so please keep that in mind should you need to contact the school in the afternoon. Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we practice this important safety procedure.
