ISAT Test Change
Because of the Mars Rover competition on Friday, we will be moving Mr. Sams 6th grade ISAT from Friday morning to Thursday afternoon at 12:30.
MISSING TURTLE
Mrs. Hagen's pet turtle got lost from her yard on Saturday. He is approximately the size of a saucer. If found, PLEASE call Mrs. Hagen at 285-1786. Thank you!
COW CREEK RUN
The 30th Annual Cow Creek Run will be held in conjunction with Genesee Community Day on Saturday, June 11th at 8:30 in the morning. Registration forms are available at City Hall and in the High School Office. There are 2 and 5 mile courses that you can choose to run or walk. It's a great way to kick off Community Day and is open to ALL ages, so join in the fun!! Registrations are due by June 1st for Early Registration. Late registrations will be accepted beginning at 7:30 a.m. the morning of the race. Early Registrations including commemorative t-shirts are $12 ($15 for late registers). Early registrations not including t-shirt are $5 ($6 for late registers). *A copy of the registration form is posted on the bulletin board outside the High School Office for additional information, or you can contact Kathy Zenner, Cow Creek Run Race Co-ordinator.
PTO NEWS
*The Final PTO Meeting this school year will be May 4th at 7pm in the multipurpose room. Everyone is encouraged and welcomed to attend.
* Thank you to everyone that supported our 2nd Bulldog Bingo in March. It was very successful and fun was had by all! It wouldn’t have been possible without all the support from parents, teachers, businesses and the community. We collected 156 items for the food bank at Bulldog Bingo!

*Our final Box Top collection deadline is May 20th. We have collected over 8,000 boxtops this year! Wow! That equates to about $800! Thank you!!
* Teacher Appreciation week is May 2 – 6th. Please remember to show your appreciation for your child’s teacher. We are so fortunate to have such excellent and caring teachers in Genesee!
* Thank you to everyone who has been saving ink cartridges. We get $2 for every cartridge we submit to Staples. Bring in any cartridge or toner (large ones, too) to the office and we will take care of the rest! They really do add up and have allowed us to provide a supply closet for the teachers and pay for other supplies throughout the year!

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL
2011 Moscow Baseball Association - American Legion / Senior Ruth Tryouts
Tryouts will be held at the Moscow Jr High School Baseball Field. All persons interested MUST be at the try out dates, ready to play ball. Have your cleats, glove, pants, hat, etc. *You will also need a copy of your birth certificate. (Additional information is listed on the flyer posted on the bulletin board outside the High School Office Window.)
Try out Dates are as follows:
Wednesday - May 25th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Thursday - May 26th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Friday - May 27th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
JR/SR High School News
1.) SPRING SPORTS PICTURES will be taken for Softball and Baseball TODAY, April 27th at 3:30 p.m. (weather permitting) in one of the gyms if not. Picture packets were distributed by coaches on Monday. SOFTBALL PLAYERS, since your picture packets were NOT distributed, please stop by the office to pick on up before lunch time today. Thank you and sorry for the communication breakdown.
2.) The Jr. High Boys Basketball teams will have their end-of-season dessert banquet on May 4th at 7:00 p.m. 7th graders plan to bring a dessert and 8th graders bring ice cream. See you there! *Please NOTE the time change and we will be meeting in the Commons.
3.)OPEN GYMS! Starting this week we will be having open gyms every Wednesday. This is for Jr High and High School student ONLY, but is open to both boys and girls! The first one is Wednesday, April 27th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Hope to see you there!
4.)FFA members planning on taking an animal to the Latah County Fair need to fill out a new form in the ag shop by May 15th in order to take an animal to the Fair. This means you will have to physically walk up to the Ag Shop and get a form from Mr. Morrow and fill it out with a parent signature and then return it by May 15th to Mr. Morrow.

6.)DANCE!! An all High School Benefit Dance will be held here in Genesee Friday evening April 29th in the multi purpose room here at the school. Bring your friends from out of town, just show and ASB card at the door!! Admission is $4. ALL proceeds go to the Jackson Baldwin Pay-it-Forward Foundation!! 9:00 p.m. to Midnight! Let's Dance!
7.) Friday's Activity Period will be group meetings to finalize plans for the Fun Run. *Activity Period will NOT be at the normal Friday time, but will meet from 1:05 to 1:30 p.m. If you are not listed in a group below, please report to Mr. Derting's room to sign up for you running or walking event.
