GENESEE CIVIC ASSOCIATION NEWS
There will be an Easter Egg Hunt at the Upper City Park (the one directly below the school), Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. All children 5th grade and younger are invited to participate. There will be 3 different age groups and prizes awarded!
JR/SR High School News
1.) Good Luck to the Softball Team who will be facing off against Timberline in a double header that WILL NOW BE PLAYED AT AIRPORT PARK (Timberline got several inches of snow last night). Game time is 3:30 p.m. Bus will depart at 1:45 p.m.
2.) Good Luck as well to the track athletes as they travel to Kamiah to compete in a meet beginning at 2:00 p.m.
3.) Good Luck tomorrow as the Bulldogs will host Potlatch here at home in a game beginning at 11:00 a.m. Best of Luck Dawgs!
4.) SPRING SPORTS PICTURES will be taken for Softball and Baseball on Wednesday, April 27th at 3:30 p.m. (weather permitting) in one of the gyms if not. Picture packets will be distributed by coaches on Monday. FYI!
5.) CHEER TRYOUTS will be held April 23rd at 1:00 p.m., gym/room TBA. Please wear athletic clothes and low shoes. Tryouts will include one dance and one sideline pom cheer.
6.) The Jr. High Boys Basketball teams will have their end-of-season dessert banquet on May 4th at 6:30 p.m. 7th graders plan to bring a dessert and 8th graders bring ice cream. See you there!
7.) DRIVER'S EDUCATION: The following students need to get their parent permission slip in to Mr. Sams by next Friday if you are planning to participate in the program:
Paydan Prindle, Brennan Pedersen, Tyler Jones, Holly Carter, Courtney Peck, Stephanie Becker, Makayla Heflin, Tia Valles, and Raechel Osterberg.
8.)The Secondary Spring Concert/Jazz Experience Rescheduled Concert: Monday, April 25th at 7:00pm at the University of Idaho School of Music Recital Hall.
9.)We are planning to take three buses to the Jazz Experience Rescheduled Concert/Secondary Spring Concert on Monday, April 25th at the University of Idaho School of Music Recital Hall. GES, Junior High and Senior High students will ride buses, and at least one bus is available to shuttle audience members to and from the concert. If you would like to take the bus, please be at the Genesee school building at 6:00pm. Seats are available on a first come, first serve basis and children must be accompanied by an adult. If you would rather drive yourself, there is plenty of parking available nearby the Music Building. This will be a longer concert because the University of Idaho Jazz Choir I will be performing for us!
