We hope to see you there!

9.) Students: Semester Grades have been moved to transcripts and are viewable in the student portal. HOWEVER: Please note - Due to varying graduation requirements for different grade levels in the High School, transcript audit needs to occur and some manual adjustments will need to be made. Transcript information will not be accurate until that process in complete, but should occur in the next day or two. Additionally, due to another glitch, Jr. High classes did transcript when they were not supposed to. These courses do not have graduation requirements assigned to them and therefore miscalculate a GPA and class rank that are not accurate. As the transcripts are corrected, a trace GPA and class rank record may remain in the portal, but for Jr. High students, this should be disregarded as it is not accurate.

10.) Genesee FFA members are raising money by recycling used car, truck,ATV,and tractor batteries. If you have any vehicle batteries you would like to get rid of contact JR Morrow at Genesee High School.

Congratulations to Hannah Cartwright whose essay for Human Rights Day addressing the subject of "What Can We Do?" was selected as winner of the essay contest! Hannah and her family will be honored at a breakfast in Moscow on Saturday morning and Hannah will also receive a $25 gift certificate to Book People. Congrats to Hannah!

Lost and Found Items

Please check out the lost and found items along the wall outside the multi. If any of the items belong to you, claim them now or forever be without. All unclaimed items will be removed on Friday at 3:30 p.m.

Extra Clothing

It is a very good idea for elementary students to have spare clothing either at school or in their backpacks during this rainy, muddy weather in case clothing becomes wet during recess. A simple pair of sweats, socks and perhaps undergarment, stored in a gallon zip lock bag will store nicely in the bottom of a back pack, or neatly in a classroom cubby or locker space . . . and save that panic call home for dry clothing! FYI.

Newsletter Deadline

The deadline for the February Newsletter is 8:30 a.m. on Monday, January 25th. Please send all submissions electronically to Mr. Peter Crowley at the following email address: pcrowley@sd282.org

Play Performances

Ready to travel back to the days of King Arthur? Come to see the 8th grade play "The Wife of Bath from Canterbury Tales 4" on Wednesday or Thursday evening at 7:00. You will enjoy laughing about what all women want. The advice and entertainment are FREE!

PTO Meeting

The next PTO meeting is Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 7:00-8:00pm in the Library.

3.) Sophomores: Please give your $2 to Gunnar, class secretary, for the gift basket by this Friday, January 15th. Thank you!

4.) State FFA Degree tests will be given until this Friday at 3:30 p.m. If you are interested in applying for your state degree you need to pass these tests. See Mr. Morrow for a study guide. Chapter officers please meet Tuesday at lunch to plan the January FFA Meeting.

5.) Music Events for this week: Jr. High Jazz Choir will meet from 3:20 to 4:20 on Thursday. Pep band for boys basketball on Friday at 6:45 p.m.

6.) The list of students with overdue library materials has been posted on the bulletin board outside the High School Office Window. Please check to see if you have items that need to be returned before the end of the semester. Thank you.

7.) Can we help out Tad and Doug please? Let's all try to do our best to assist our janitorial staff by taking care of our own personal space and showing pride in our facilities. We've been having some issues with wrappers and containers being left in the commons, wrappers in the hallways, general messiness in the restrooms. It would be nice (and appropriately mature) of us all to apply the same rules of courtesy to our school environment as we do our homes. If you drop it, pick it up - clean up after yourself, and return chairs to the locations from which you borrowed them. Thanks for your help!

Bulletin - 1/13/10

Bulletin last updated 1/13/10, 9:05 a.m.

Early Release Day

Tomorrow, January 14th will be a regularly scheduled Early Release Day for Genesee Schools. Classes will dismiss at 1:25 p.m. and busses will run regular routes at that time.

News From Latah County Human Rights Task Force

FYI.

Sharing Tree

Thank you very much to everyone who supported the Sharing Tree Project by purchasing a gift, donating money, shopping, or wrapping presents. This year the Sharing Tree supported 18 families - 42 children in our community! This is a very special project that benefits a great number of children, and it is humbling to see the magnitude of the support of our community for this wonderful program. The Sharing Tree was able to provide clothes, winter clothing, and a few fun items to each child. In a year when many families are struggling, your help and support is greatly appreciated.
