For Your Planning Purposes


Genesee Schools WILL be in session on Monday, January 18th, Human Rights Day. Students will be engaged in learning activities to celebrate and honor the day. There will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, January 22nd. This will be a staff work day to end the semester and prepare for the new which begins on Monday, January 25th.

Lost and Found Items


Please check out the lost and found items along the wall outside the multi. If any of the items belong to you, claim them now or forever be without. All unclaimed items will be removed TODAY at 3:30 p.m.

Love and Logic Classes in Genesee


Genesee Parents: As announced in the January newsletter, Genesee School will be hosting a series of parenting classes--Becoming a Love & Logic Parent. Classes will run for seven Wednesday evenings beginning on February 17th. Enrollment forms with more information are available in the main school office. Enrollment application deadline is January 27th but space is limited; apply soon.

Play Performances


Congratulations to the Jr. High Drama class for 2 nights of great performances! Thank you to Mrs. Booth for her direction and support, and to everyone who came out to enjoy the play.

PTO Meeting


The next PTO meeting is Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 7:00-8:00pm in the Library.

Geography Bee Results


CONGRATULATIONS to the Classroom Geography Bee Winners!

**They will compete for the District 282 Geo-Bee Championship on January 19th at 3:30 in the MPR. Students, staff, friends and family are all invited to cheer on our contestants.

JR/SR High School News


1.) Congratulations to the Girls basketball team who claimed victory over Culdesac in action played at Culdesac last night. Way to go Ladies!!

2.) Good Luck to Boys Basketball teams who will meet Clearwater Valley on the court here at home tonight with games beginning at 6:00 p.m. Go Dawgs!!

3.) The boy's basketball games with Kamiah this Saturday have been moved up. The JV game will begin at 4pm and the Varsity game will be around 5:30pm. The bus will depart from school at 1:15pm. Good Luck Bulldogs!!

3.) Sophomores: $2 to Gunnar TODAY. Monday will cost you $4 and all funds will be deposited in the class account. Thanks!!

4.) State FFA Degree tests will be given until today at 3:30 p.m. If you are interested in applying for your state degree you need to pass these tests. See Mr. Morrow.

5.) Music Events for this week: Pep band for boys basketball on Friday at 6:45 p.m.

6.) JR. MISS: All Junior girls and their parents are invited to an informational meeting regarding this year's Jr. Miss program. The meeting will be held at the Points of View apartment at 12:30 on Sunday, January 24th. Hope to see you there!

REMINDER: The Elementary After School Study Hall is a program for students to work on class assignments and homework. Once the work is complete, students are excused to go home. There are no “activities” for students to be involved in, as this is NOT an after school child care program. Thank you.
