Love and Logic Classes in Genesee


Genesee Parents: As announced in the January newsletter, Genesee School will be hosting a series of parenting classes--Becoming a Love & Logic Parent. Classes will run for seven Wednesday evenings beginning on February 17th. Enrollment forms with more information are available in the main school office. Enrollment application deadline is January 27th but space is limited; apply soon.

PTO Meeting


The next PTO meeting is Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 7:00-8:00pm in the Library.

Geography Bee


District 282 Geo-Bee Championship on January 19th at 3:30 in the MPR. Students, staff, friends and family are all invited!

Silent Auction


The Silent Auction, sponsored by the PTO, will be held this Saturday during the boys and girls home basketball games. The auction is held to support a wide variety of school classes and groups. There are many great gift entries and the bidding is always great fun! It's a wonderful opportunity to shop for Valentine's Day and support your local school groups as well. See you there!!

JR/SR High School News


1.) Congratulations to the Girls basketball team who claimed victory over Timberline in action here at home last night. Way to go Ladies!!

2.) Music Events for this week: Wednesday - High School Choir 7-8:30 p.m. in the Music Room. Thursday - Jr. High Jazz Choir 3:20 to 4:20. Saturday - Pep Band at 5:15 p.m.

3.) BPA Students: The bus for LCSC will leave at 7:15 am this Friday morning for regionals. Even though there is no school that day, you will still need a field trip form – though it will only have to be signed by your parents and Mr. Caldwell, not your teachers. Field trip forms are available from Mr. Crowley or in the office. Have them turned in by Wednesday, 1/20. Payton, Thomas and Dallan: see Mr. Crowley ASAP to discuss your events.

4.) JR. MISS: All Junior girls and their parents are invited to an informational meeting regarding this year's Jr. Miss program. The meeting will be held at the Points of View apartment at 12:30 on Sunday, January 24th. Hope to see you there!

5.) Winter Ball will be held on Saturday evening January 30th from 9:00 to midnight at the Genesee Fire Hall. Admission is $5 per person. Out of town or out of High School guests, must be signed up in the office by end of day on Wednesday, January 27th.

6.) Finals Schedule: Tuesday - 1st hour - final - 8:25-10:25a.m.; 2nd hour - final - 10:35-12:35; LUNCH from 12:35 to 1:05; 3rd hour review - 1:10-2:10p.m.; 6th hour review - 2:15 to 3:15p.m. Wednesday - 3rd hour final - 8:25 to 10:25a.m.; 6th hour final - 10:35-12:35; LUNCH 12:35-1:05; 4th hour review 1:10-2:10p.m.; 5th hour review - 2:15-3:15p.m. Thursday - 4th hour final - 8:25-10:25a.m.; 5th hour final - 10:35-12:35; LUNCH 12:35-1:05p.m.; 1st hour wrap-up - 1:10-2:10p.m., 2nd hour wrap-up 2:15-3:15p.m.

REMINDER: The Elementary After School Study Hall is a program for students to work on class assignments and homework. Once the work is complete, students are excused to go home. There are no “activities” for students to be involved in, as this is NOT an after school child care program. Thank you.
