Hoop Shoot Opportunity


The Knights of Columbus will hold a hoop shoot for ages 8-14 during the Boys home basketball game this Friday, February 1. It will be held in the Aux. Gym from halftime of the JV game through halftime of the Varsity game.

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Basketball team who defeated Kamiah last night and good effort to the JV who were defeated.

Good luck to the Girls Basketball team who begins district tournament play this evening at the LCSC Activity Center. Genesee will meet Prairie at 8:00. For full bracket information, please go to the Genesee School District web sight sports page.

SENIORS: LCSC Pre-College Admission & Registration Forms for dual credit are due in to your teacher by 8:00 a.m. Friday morning.  You can pay for these courses by attaching a check for $65/credit to your registration form (payable to Lewis Clark State College), or you can wait to be billed by LCSC.

High school students registering for free LCSC Technical Prep course credits (i.e. online health professions courses, Career Exploration, Computer Applications II, Web Design and/or Welding courses) must also be turned in to your teacher or Mr. Scripter by 8:00 a.m. this Friday.

Good luck to the Boys Basketball teams who host Lapwai tomorrow night beginning at 6:00.

The Ozzie Kanikkeberg Memorial Scholarship fund raising committee will host a baked food sale at the Genesee vs. Lapwai boys home basketball game Friday, January 18. Please know that 100% of the money collected will go directly into the Ozzie Kanikkeberg Scholarship. Last year we were able to award twelve $500 scholarships to graduating seniors!
If you would like to help with this fund raiser, we ask that you bring a baked food item to the school by 6:00 p.m. or when you come to the game Friday night. Additionally, you could: drop off your food item at the home of Bill and Peggy LaMunyan, 754 West Chestnut St. in Genesee or make a monetary donation that night or by mail to Bill LaMunyan at 754 West Chestnut St., Genesee, ID 83832. Checks should be made out to the Ozzie Kanikkeberg Scholarship Fund. If you need to make other arrangements, please call Bill or Peggy LaMunyan at 285-1370 or 208-301-8085 and we will make sure your donation makes it to the game Friday night.

Experts say laughter relieves stress and is great for the immune system.  We are all in need of laughter--especially at the end of the semester.  Come watch the 8th graders perform "No Body to Murder" Sunday and/or Monday evening at 7:00.  It's free and it won't take much of your time.

Blood Drive Today


There is a sign-up sheet in the HS Office for the Blood Drive that is being held at the school today from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. If you are 16 or older, you may be eligible to donate. Those who are under 18 will need parent/guardian permission.

Congratulations to the Boy's Varsity Basketball team who defeated Grangeville on Saturday. Good effort by the JV team who was defeated.

Great effort by the Girl's Varsity Basketball team who lost to CV over the weekend and congratulations to the JV team who won in two quarters.

Spanish Club meets tonight at 6:15. Mrs. Morasch will show her video of Madrid and serve Mexican hot chocolate.
