Distinguished Young Women Program


Please plan to attend the 2013 Distinguished Young Women (formerly Junior Miss) program Sat, Mar 31st at 7 pm in the High School Multi Purpose Room. The cost of attendance
is $10 adults and $7 students and senior citizens. Come and support Karli, Payton P, Destiny and Payton AT on their quest in earning scholarship awards for their future.
The Festival Dance group will also be performing. Thanks to all for your support of this valuable scholarship program!


Spring Break!


There will be no school for Genesee students this Friday, March 30. This is a day scheduled for parent conferences. Next week is Genesee's Spring Break. We hope you have a fun and restful week. School resumes Monday, April 9 at 8:00 a.m.


Baseball Camp


Boys in grades 3-6, don't forget to sign up for the Bulldog Baseball Camp. The registration deadline is fast approaching! Turn forms and money in to Garrett Jones or Mr. Crowley. Thank you!


Junior High and High School News


Good luck to the JH Girls and Boys basketball teams as they take on Deary at home tonight in games beginning at 4:30.

Good luck to the Softball team as they take on Highland at Airport field beginning at 4:30. We will keep you updated here and make an announcement if we hear of a cancellation.

DYW Carebears: please come to the office to pick up packages to deliver.

LAST DAY OF BOOK FAIR AT THE SCHOOL, but online continues through April 10th. The online version is OUR OWN bookfair, still raising funds for the climbing wall.

We are open until 8:30 tonight so come on up during the basket ball games, hang out after school answering the last of the scavenger hunt questions, and question of the day, and BEG Mr. Barham to let the JR High English classes come through before it's too late! Thanks for helping the wall.

All Jr/Sr High School parents are invited to parent teacher conferences this Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and Friday from 8:00-11:30 a.m. Anyone interested in a conference, please call or email any of your student's teachers to set up a time to visit.

The Safe and Sober Graduation Committee still has Lucky Dawg Raffle tickets available. They are $10 each and three cash prizes ($1000, $750 and $500) will be awarded in the drawing to take place April 15. Please see any senior parent to purchase tickets. Thank you for your support of a safe graduation night for Genesee's Senior Class.

Attention 6th-8th grade girls: if you are interested in playing softball this spring, please contact Shawn O'Connell at 285-1174 or Ryan Banks at 285-1205. Also, there are forms available in the HS office.

The Distinguished Young Women Committee is having a Pampered Chef fundraiser. The new product catalog just came out, so if you would like to view a book, please contact Wendy Woods at wwoods@genesee-id.com or order online at www.pamperedchef.biz/LindaSundstrom using Genesee Distinquished Young Women as the party host name. We would love your support!

Don't forget to bring canned foods and old clothing for the Lewiston homeless shelter. The collection box is in the gym foyer. Thanks, Brianna Nelson.
