Big Kettle Cook-Off

Thanks to everyone who donated soup, desserts, and time to help make this year's Big Kettle Cook-Off a success.  Also, a big thank you to everyone who supported the GEA Scholarship Fund by attending the Big Kettle Cook-Off. 

This years winners were:
1st Place -Hot Chili Spikers
2nd Place - Bulldog Football Chili
3rd Place- Buffalo Chili Dogs

Youth Volleyball Opportunities in Genesee

The Varnish Juniors Volleyball Club here in Genesee would like 3-8 grade girls and parents to know that we are planning to have both a U12 (for girls in 5-6 grades) and a U14 (for girls in junior high) club volleyball team this coming spring. We will also be hosting youth clinics for younger players this winter. Informational and planning meetings will take place in early November, so be on the look out for more information. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact Pete Crowley, pcrowley@sd282.org.


**Let Everyone Play Day**
October 17 (Saturday) at 11:00: Rachel Bechtel has organized Let Everyone Play Day, a community-wide baseball game for people of all ages and abilities at Bear Field in Moscow. Last year many of the players were confined to wheelchairs and the Moscow baseball team participated. This year our school has been invited to participate. Everyone is invited to play or be a spectator and there will be two games with a free barbecue in between. Mrs. Bardwell will drive the white bus up if someone needs transportation.

PSAT Test on Wednesday October 14th

PSAT Test on Wednesday October 14th during periods 1-4.  For sophomores and interested juniors.  Sophomores' test fees will be paid for by the Idaho State Department of Education.  Juniors who wish to take the test must pay the $15 test fee at the high school office by no later than 12:30 on Tuesday October 13th.  Please contact Mr. Scripter if you have any questions about the PSAT.

Congratulations To Virginia!!
She won the Idaho *Make It With Wool Contest* this past weekend in Sun Valley.  She will represent The State of Idaho at the National Contest in January!!
