Bulletin - 11/3/10

Bulletin last updated 11/3/10, 8:20 a.m.

COMMUNITY GIVE BACK DAY

Today Genesee Jr/Sr High School students will attend classes on an adjusted schedule and at 1:30 will begin Community Give Back service projects here in town. The students will be working in groups to rake leaves, clean up play ground areas and parks, attend to roadside clean-up, help with painting at the fire station, and will be washing and waxing fire trucks and the ambulance. This is an annual project in which students are encouraged to recognize the value of community service and "give back" to the community who gives them so much support.

GES Singers

GES Singers will begin on Tuesday, November 9th. This is a program for students in grades 3-6 who are serious about music. GES will run from 3:20 to 4:20 on Tuesdays. Mr. Caldwell will distribute a flyer next week. See you on the 9th.

CLUB VARNISH VOLLEYBALL TRY-OUTS

Club Varnish Volleyball tryouts will be this Saturday at 12:30 pm in the Genesee High School gymnasium. Anyone who is interested in playing club volleyball this coming winter and spring should come out. Even though the club season doesn’t start for a couple of months, we need to get teams formed right away so we know how many teams we will have and can get registered for tournaments. If you have any questions or if you want to play but cannot make the tryouts, please see Mr. Crowley before school is out on Wednesday. There will also be a parent meeting to discuss the upcoming club seasons in Mr. Crowley’s room on Wednesday, November 10 at 6 pm.
