Mars Rover Winners


Congratulations to the 5th and 6th grade Genesee Mars Rovers Teams. "The Mars Soldiers" team won the 1st place trophy in our region on Friday. They moved on to the state competition which was also held Friday, where they took 2nd place in all the state of Idaho. Their best event was picking up rock and mineral samples - and they even captured the elusive Marvin the Martian. All teams performed well earning medals and individual team recognitions in many categories. Thanks to the parent volunteers and the PTO for their support. SuperJob!

BLOOMSDAY


Congratulations to everyone who participated in Bloomsday - we have a lot of strong competitors in our midst!! You can check out results on the Bloomsday website. **Would everyone who competed and is wearing their shirt please report to the commons today at 1:00 p.m. for a quick picture!! Thank you!

Upcoming Elementary Concerts


The K-3 Concert is on Thursday, May 13th. The 4-6 Concert is on Monday, May 17th. The Elementary Festival is on Wednesday, May 19th in Lewiston.

Community Blood Drive


The INBC will be hosting a Community Blood Drive on Thursday, May 6th here at school from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. The blood mobile will be parked out front of the school. Appointments are available by coming to or calling the High School Office at 285-1162. If you are 16 years of age or older and weigh at least 120 pounds, and are in good health you can donate. 16 and 17 year old donors need parent permission which is available at the High School Office. Please consider this life giving donation!

JR/SR High School News


1.) Congratulations to the Softball Team who played both games against Kamiah at Airport on Saturday, despite the weather!! They split the wins with Kamiah, one each! Nice job ladies!

2.) The Baseball game scheduled for today at Prairie, is now officially canceled. We are trying to reschedule for Tuesday or Wednesday. Again, we will keep you posted.

3.) The Baseball game against Potlatch that was canceled on Saturday has been rescheduled to May 10th at 4:30 here in Genesee. The Baseball game scheduled against Lewis County has been moved to Thursday at 4:00 p.m. in Nezperce, weather permitting.

4.) The Annual FFA Plant Sale will be held this Saturday, May 8th from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the PNW parking lot. Lots of wonderful bedding plants to choose from.

5.) Thank you to all the dad's who went bowling with their children yesterday at Zeppos!! Hope you all had a great time!!

6.) Genesee Club is hosting a mom's movie night on Saturday, May 15th at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Commons. All Club Members and Seniors are invited to bring their mom's for this fun evening!! Hope to see you there!

6.) Junior High music students: Please be at school, ready to load the bus at 8:00am on Wednesday morning. You will need to bring a sack lunch!

7.) High School Choir: Great job on the concert last week! We will have choir on Wednesday from 7:00-8:30pm--we need to start preparing for Cabaret--see you all there!
