Family Promise



Sammy Sperber, Genesee’s 2015 Distinguished Young Woman is collecting diapers and baby wipes as a part of her “Be Your Best Self Project”. Through the month of October there will be a donation box in the high school office where you can make your donation. Other items that can be donated include shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap etc. Family Promise’s mission is "to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence". Please help support this worthy

Enchilada Sale


Virginia Monk is once again selling enchiladas for her Citizenship Washington Focus 4-H project. Orders must be in by October 15. She will be making them October 18 and delivering that weekend.  The prices are $20 for a large tray, and $15 for a small tray. Chicken and beef are available.  Please give Virginia your orders or email them to her at vmonk18@sd282.org



BMac Sports Basketball Clinics


Hosted by Brandon McIntosh, Genesee High School Girls Basketball Coach
Where: Genesee High School Gyms, Genesee, Idaho
When: Sundays (visit bmacsports.webs.com for future dates and fundamental focus)
Fall/Winter clinic schedule is listed at bmacsports.webs.com.
Who: Grades: 3-5 and 6-8 Boys and Girls
Times: 5:00-6:30 pm (all at same time)
Each clinic will focus on different areas of basketball fundamental development:
Ball handling, dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, post play, and defense
Cost: Genesee resident $5 non-residents $8 (each clinic attended)
BRING YOUR FAVORITE BASKETBALL IF YOU HAVE ONE.
Must register for each clinic session interested in attending. Registration form only needs to be filled out prior to the first clinic attended. Fee is due before start of each clinic. Pre-registration or registration day of clinic is acceptable.

Jr. High/High School News


 Reminder: high school volleyball team dinner tonight will be in the Home Ec. Room at 5:30.

The After School Program for JH/HS students is an opportunity for students to complete their work and receive additional assistance. It will run from 3:25-4:25 in the following locations:
Monday 10/6: Mrs. Bardwell's Classroom
Tuesday 10/7: Mrs. Tilleman's Classroom with Mr. Scripter
Wednesday 10/8: Mrs. Booth's Classroom
Thursday 10/9: Mrs. Tilleman's Classroom with Mr. Scripter

Thursday 10/9: C/JV/V Volleyball @ Prairie 5:00 p.m.
Thursday 10/9: JH Football vs Deary 5:30 p.m.
Friday 10/3: V Football @ Lapwai 7:00 p.m.

If you are interested in bringing baked goods for the Dig 4 Pink bake sale on October 14, please sign up in the HS office.

Sophomores & Juniors: The PSAT test will be administered here at school on the morning of Wednesday, October 15th.  For juniors the cost will be $15.  Pay your fee to Shelly or Becky in the office when you register for the test.  For sophomores considering attending a four year college the PSAT is free of charge.  If you wish to take the test you must be signed up AND paid (juniors)
by 4:00pm on Monday, October 13th.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  Be aware no refunds will be issued if you register and later decide not to take the test.
