FRIDAY, March 4th is a regularly scheduled Collaboration Day for staff and there will be NO SCHOOL for students.

Geographic Bee Update


Congratulations Anna Sobczyk!!Anna won the Genesee School Geographic Bee on Jan 6th, and has qualified to represent Genesee School and participate at the state level on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Boise State University. Anna had to take a written test after the School Bee . The written test was submitted at the State Level to see if she would be one of the top 100 students in Idaho to compete at the state level. She was! Congratulations Anna!!

Readers as Leaders Winners


Congratulation to Genesee "Readers are Leaders" Winners. Truman Renton was chosen for a Gold Award and will receive a $50 Book Gift Certificate and Jake DeMeerler was chosen for a Silver Award and will receive a $25 Book Certificate.

Newsletter Deadline


The deadline for the April Newsletter will be March 21st at Noon. *Please note the earlier deadline due to Spring Break. Please submit all items electronically to Mr. Peter Crowley at pcrowley@sd282.org

PTO NEWS


Please remember BULLDOG BINGO NIGHT being sponsored by the Genesee PTO. The event will be held on March 19th, featuring a pizza dinner and raffle. More information to come!

PTO RAFFLE - American Girl Doll / Raft Trip
Don't miss out on your chance to win some fantastic prizes! In conjunction with our Bulldog Bingo event on March 19, the Genesee PTO is selling raffle tickets for the following prizes:
1. A new American Girl doll (Rebecca) who will come with a designer wardrobe
2. A Salmon River Raft Trip for two with a one-night stay at Salmon Rapids Lodge.
*Raffle tickets are currently being sold by PTO members for $1/ticket. (You do not need to be at Bulldog Bingo to win the prize.) Tickets may be purchased from Melissa Hanson at school or at Bulldog Bingo.

JR/SR High School News


1.) Good Luck to the Boys Basketball Team who will begin state tournament action this evening as they play Notus beginning at 7:00 p.m. PST, 8:00 MST. Best of Luck Bulldogs!!

2.) GAME BROADCAST INFO: The Genesee Games from state tournament will be broadcast as follows: KRLC radio 1350 AM. Webcast at www.idahosports.com www.roundballradio.com

3.) Driver's Education: Students, time is running out . . . Friday is the last day to sign-up for Driver's Education. *Please keep in mind, we do not have school on Friday.

4.) Girls Basketball Players who have not yet paid for coaches gifts, PLEASE get your money in ASAP. Thank you.

5.) American Legion Auxiliary Girls State Applications are DUE on Monday, March 7th. This is a wonderful opportunity and we hope you don't miss out on your chance for memorable life experience! Please turn applications in to the High School Office, they will be picked up on Monday afternoon.

6.) The following people ordered, but have not yet paid for or picked up their Winter Ball pictures from Miranda Carter. Please do so ASAP! Sydney C, Jordyn S, Sophie DN, Makayla H and Natalie K.
