The next PTO meeting is Wednesday, February 10, 2010 from 7:00-8:00pm in the Multi-purpose room. Everyone is welcome to attend!
National Wear Red Day
Today, February 5th, 2010 is National Wear Red Day to promote heart health. You can Google "Wear Red Day" to learn more about the reason behind this special day.
We all can support this day by wearing red tomorrow!

Spelling Bee Information
Congratulations to the winners of the Classroom Spelling Bees. Please come to cheer on our winners at either the Level One or Two Bees next Tuesday, Feb 9th in the MPR.
1st Level Spelling Bee 3rd, 4th, & 5th grades - 8:45-9:30 a.m.
2nd Level Spelling Bee 6th, 7th, & 8th grades - 9:30-10:15 a.m.
JR/SR High School News
1.) Congratulations to the Boys Basketball Teams who both claimed victory over Timberline last night! Nice job guys!
2.) Girls District Basketball action will continue Saturday evening in Lewiston at 6:15 p.m. Good Luck Lady Bulldogs!!
3.) Music Events for this week: Friday: Jazz Soloists meet with rhythm section 3:20-7:00pm. Saturday: Girls' Districts Pep Band: Load bus at 4:45pm and leave Genesee at 5pm. Bring money for dinner/snacks after the game.
4.) FFA members attending CDE's at UI tomorrow: THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE OF PLANS. We need to leave 30 minutes EARLIER, bus departs promptly at 7:45 a.m.
5.) CHEERLEADERS: We need to be at the school dressed in uniform and ready to go at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bus leaves at 5:00. We will be decorating until then. See you there!
6.) Happy 13th Birthday to Sammy Sperber! Happy 14th Birthday to Taylor Kelnhofer!
7.) HEY SENIORS!!! I'm good, but I'm not THAT good! You can't bring me pictures 2 days before Graduation, and expect to have a slideshow . . . . If you have pictures, please bring them Geoffrey or Teresa as soon as possible. Thanks for your help!!
8.) Junior Girls….reminders….A) Junior Miss Local Contestant Agreement and $30 outfit fee are due Monday, February 8. B) Please go to www.ajm.org, click Join Us and fill in basic information as part of the enrollment process.

9.) To Rainbow representatives and other interested students: After school today Harriet Aiken is talking and showing pictures of her work in with a small village in Morocco. This gathering will be interesting and inspiring. We will also plan the book drive. 3:20 in Mrs. Booth's room today.
