Spelling Bee Results
Congratulations to Sophia Draznin-Nagy who has won the District Spelling Bee! Sophia will now participate in the Twenty-First Annual Inland Northwest Regional Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 6th at 1:00 p.m., at the Williams Conference Center on the Lewis-Clark State College campus in Lewiston. Great Job to all our spellers! 1st -Sophia Draznin-Nagy, 2nd- Clancy Clawson, 3rd- Virginia Monk and 4th- Reggie Tilleman.
March Newsletter Deadline

JR/SR High School News
1.) Boys Basketball District Tournament play will continue with a game against Timberline on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at LCSC. Go Dawgs!
2.) Music events for this week: Wednesday: Junior High Jazz Choir 5:30-6:30pm, and High School Choir 7:00-8:30pm. Saturday: Boys' Districts Pep Band: load the bus at 10am, bus leaves at 10:15am.
3.) The following people still have pictures in the office from Winter Ball, and if you called Judy and asked for additional pictures, those have been delivered as well, please pick up your pictures ASAP: (Thank you!)Sam Druffel, April Broemeling. *Additionally, Who is Mabry?- you have 2 5 X 7's of the Senior Class Photo. ALSO - The following signed up for group photos but have not paid. You need to bring your money and pick-up your pictures: FR - Kylie H, Jackie H, Payton AT. SOPH - Kaytee L, Rebecca E, Gunnar K. JR - April B,Lacey F, SR - Erin and Michelle.
4.) The Forestry/Greenhouse class is currently taking orders for our spring lawn furniture sale. If you would like to pre-order an Adirondak chair, picnic table, or garden bench please contact JR Morrow for details. We currently have 3 orders and can take up to 6.
5.)Genesee students who will be at least 14 years and six months old by May 3rd, can sign up for this year's Driver Education Program. The program will start May 3rd and end sometime around the middle of July. See Mrs. Schacher or Mrs. Pickard in the office to sign up. The cost will be determined by the number of students enrolled.

6.) Jr and Sr High School Girls interested in Girl Scouts, there will be an informational meeting Thursday evening, February 18th at 6:00 p.m. in the multi. Flyers with additional information are available at the high school office window.
7.) Senior Parents: There will be a planning meeting this evening, February 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room for the Safe and Sober Graduation celebration - all senior parents needed!
8.) Sophomores who STILL have not paid for the basket, you now owe $12, please get the money to Gunnar ASAP!
9.) Team Varnish U16 is practicing Thursday the 18th from 7-9 p.m. NOT TONIGHT.

REMINDER: The Elementary After School Study Hall is a program for students to work on class assignments and homework. Once the work is complete, students are excused to go home. There are no “activities” for students to be involved in, as this is NOT an after school child care program. Thank you.
