WINTER BREAK
For your planning purposes, Winter Break for Genesee Schools begins with Early Release TODAY. School will dismiss at 1:25 p.m. and busses will run regular routes at that time. School will be closed until Monday morning, January 4th, when classes will resume at 8:25 a.m. Have a safe, relaxing and fun break!

Hoop Shoot Winners
Congratulations to the Genesee Local Elks Hoops shoot winners! The following students qualified for the Lodge contest at Moscow Junior High on January 23rd beginning at 9:00am - - 8-9 yr old category: Austin Pope, Brooklyn Mayer. 10-11 yr old category: Garrett Borth, Halley Ghigleri. 12-13 yr old category: Beau Tilleman, Kaliegh Ranisate. Information will be sent home today with each of the winners.

* ATTENTION all groups, clubs, organizations and classes: PTO will be organizing the Basket Silent Auction to be held on Jan. 23, 2010. If you have any questions and/or can help please contact Marnie Zenner at toothchick@genesee-id.com or 285-0262.
* Congratulations to the 2nd grade class for bringing the most Box Tops in October. You are amazing! Remember to keep saving your Box Tops. You can bring them in anytime. We will have another reward in February for the class that brings the most.
* The PTO will be sponsoring a Family Fun Bingo Night on March 27, 2010. We are currently organizing this event and are seeking volunteers to help at the event. If you are interested, please contact Caty Spence or Tami Pope. (contact info below)

JR/SR High School News
1.) The Bulldogs were not successful against Kendrick in action played at Kendrick last night. Good things learned and we are proud of our Bulldogs!!
2.) Good Luck to the Boys and Girls Basketball teams who will travel to Cottonwood tomorrow for games beginning at 1:00 p.m. with the girls games. Go Dawgs!
3.) Good Luck as well to all of our teams as they travel to Colton on the 22nd for games beginning at 4:30, again with the girls leading the action! Good Luck!!
4.) Boys Basketball practice is right after school TODAY. See you there!
5.) Congratulations to the Purple Team who was the overall winner in spirit points for participation in dress up days this week! Nice job!!
