Bulletin 11/6/2017

District Wide News:

5-day week this week.

Genesee Civic Association is asking for artwork submissions for next year’s phone book! They are looking for Genesee themed art that will fit on a 5 ½ x 8 ½ sheet of paper. Please submit to the front office or to Amy Peterson at Plaid and Pearls by December 1st, all ages are encouraged to submit an entry!

**Reminder all visitors need to sign in and out with the office and wear a visitor badge during school hours! This is an important safety feature for our students and staff! **

Elementary News:
Snow season is upon us! Please remember to help your kids dress appropriately, snow boots, hats, gloves and snow pants are encouraged for outside recess! 

Fairy Tale-Inspired Fun with Math and Science Workshop Wednesday, November 15, 5-7 pm at the Genesee Community Library. This program is free and open to families with children ages 3-5. Please register by emailing  genesee@latahlibrary.org or by calling 208-285-1398 by November 8th
· Fun Hands-on stations!
· Storyteller Betsy Bybell, also known as “Batsy”, will share a tale!
· Take home a free at-home science experiments book in exchange for filling out a short evaluation form! Limit one book per family.
· Refreshments will be served


After School Study Hall:
Please remember this is not an activities based or daycare program. This program is designed to help students accomplish homework tasks or receive additional help. Students need to have something to work on at the after school study hall.

Volleyball banquet at 6:30 pm in the multi-purpose room. All C, JV and Varsity players, families and managers are invited

Interested in Club Volleyball this winter? There will be an informational U12 and U14 Varnish meeting at 6:00 pm this coming Thursday, November 9 in Mr. Crowley's room. This will be for all players/parents of this age category interested in playing on a Varnish team this upcoming season. If you are a U16 interested in playing, speak to Mr. Crowley and check your email.
