Winter Break


Genesee Schools will have a full week of school with regular hours this week. Our Winter Break will begin on Monday, December 23. School will resume Monday, January 6, 2014.

Elementary Shirts for Sale


Genesee PTO has a limited number of the navy blue and white Genesee Elementary T-shirts left.  We have four youth medium, and ten youth large shirts left, and we are offering them at the discounted price of $10.00 each.  If you need a last minute Christmas gift, please contact Kelley Porter by phone or text at (208) 310-6602 or by email at kapandkade@hotmail.com.

Parenting Class Opportunity


PARENTS:  Genesee School will once again be offering the Parenting with Love & Logic course beginning in late January.  The parenting skills taught in the course are applicable for parents with children from toddlers through high school.  A sheet with course information and an application/registration form will be sent home in the December 13th Friday folders for grades K-5.  Parents of older students may pick up a hard copy of the information sheet in the high school office.  Forms will also be part of the December/January district newsletter coming out right before Winter Break or you may request to have a form e-mailed to you by
calling the high school office at 285-1162 or by e-mailing your request to Shelly Renton at srenton@sd282.org.


Jr. High/High School News  


Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Basketball team who defeated Troy last night and good effort by the JV team who lost.

Good luck to the Boys Basketball teams who play at home tonight against CV beginning with JV at 6:00.

There are treats in Mrs. Tilleman's room for the Boys Basketball players.

Activity Period today: classes will meet with their advisors to discuss Holiday Gift Baskets. Please report to your Advisor's Classroom at 10:40.

Natalie & Brittney: the winners of the pizza party from the last PRIDE Assembly, your pizza party will be Friday at lunchtime in Mr. Derting's classroom. Those attending are: Holly, Sam M., Courtney B., Hope, Anna D., Jake, Rhyker, Taylor, Sydney and James.

FFA members interested in applying for your state FFA degree you will need to take the FFA/Parliamentary Procedure Test this week. The test will be scheduled for Lunch on Wednesday 12/18 (FFA Knowledge) and Thursday 12/19 (Parliamentary Procedure). Please plan on attending these at lunch on those two days. This will be the only time that the tests can be taken.
