ISAT TESTING


Continues this week! Please remind students to be prepared and in attendance and get plenty of sleep and eat a good breakfast each day before testing. The ISAT schedule can be found on the school website.

PTO


The Genesee PTO will have its final meeting of the 2011-2012 school year this week:
Wednesday, May 2, 7:00 p.m. in the Home Ec Room.


Genesee Community Day 2012


The Genesee Civic Association has opportunities for groups or organizations to fund raise on Community Day. Ideas that are available are as follows:
Bouncy House
Dunk Tank
Snow Cones (machine rental $45 from Hahn Rental)
Kids Carnival games
Walking Tacos or similar food items
Any event you can think of!
We also have events that we need volunteers to help with. Civic Association will be willing to make a donation to the group in exchange for their volunteering. Please contact Cathleen Blevins at cblevins@moscow.com or 208-596-9102 for more information or to volunteer. This year Community Day will be honoring the Genesee School District and the past and present administration, teachers and support staff. If anyone knows the contact information for past staff, we would appreciate getting that information so we can invite them. Please send information to cblevins@moscow.com. Thank you for your help!


Junior High and High School News 


Good luck to the baseball team as they take on Potlatch at home beginning at 4:30.

Good luck to the softball team as they take on Timberline in a game played at Orofino Elementary at 4:30. Please excuse softball players at 1:20, the bus will leave at 1:30.

JH FFA Forestry practice at lunch Tuesday and Wednesday in the shop.

JH/HS Choir Rehearsal tonight at 6:30p.m.

The spring sports Booster Poster photo will be taken Wednesday, May 2 rain or shine!

Safe & Sober Graduation Committee meeting Wednesday, May 2 at 7:00 in the Commons.

Track participants please meet with Mr. Caldwell on Wednesday during activity period to discuss Meet of Champions and transportation.

FFA officer sifting Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:30 in the Ag. Shop. Applications are available in the shop.

Spanish class is going to dinner at Paraiso Vallarta Wednesday evening for a night of Mexican food and conversation in Spanish. The bus will leave the school at 6:00.

Pizza Party people this Thursday for lunch: Kylie, Brittany Y., Tessa, Kjersti, Alysha, Tyler Y., Evan, Tyler J., Lance, Taylor and Reece W. Pizza will be in Mr. Derting's room.

JH/HS students please plan to wear your PRIDE t-shirts this Friday, May 4. Thanks for showing your Bulldog PRIDE!

Color group food drive sponsored by Sam Hoffman. There will be food collection boxes in each color group classroom. Pink: Mrs. Bardwell, Blue: Mr. Barham, Black: Mr. Hanson, Green: Mrs. Sperber, Purple: Mrs. Tilleman, Red: Mr. Crowley and Yellow: Mr. Derting. The winner of the competition will receive a pizza party!
