Robin Hood and his 8th grade merry men bring Sherwood Forest to the Genesee stage for their final performance this evening, Wednesday, Oct. 26 and 27. Join us for this short play suitable for all ages at 7:30 in the MPR. And it's free to see "Hood, of Sherwood."
SCHOOL BUS ZONE
The one block section of Ash Street, directly in front of the school is CLOSED to through traffic during the school day. There are signs, it is legally posted, you can be ticketed for it, and we do have reminder barriers that are in place at all times other than bus pick-up and drop-off. *FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR STUDENTS we ask that students, staff and patrons please honor this legally posted SCHOOL SAFETY ZONE. For Your Planning Purposes
Friday, October 29th will be a regularly scheduled teacher collaboration day and there will be NO SCHOOL for students.
It is also the end of First Quarter for elementary, and mid-term for secondary. Parent Teacher conference days are set for next Thursday and Friday. Elementary parents are scheduled for conference by appointment. Secondary parents may call or email specific teachers to set up appointments as necessary. *Secondary parents we encourage you to review your grade reports carefully (in hard copy or through Lumen Websis) and plan to conference if you see a need. Thank you.
Elementary Basketball
5th and 6th Grade Boys will practice in the Auxiliary Gym tonight, Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. and again Thursday right after school. Also on Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. - Coach Stout
**PLEASE remember to bring your shoes. Students will not be allowed access to classrooms during evening or weekend basketball practices. You need to remember to bring your shoes home for practice, BUT you need to remember to bring your shoes back to school for PE. Thank you!
Civic Association Halloween News
Come join the ghostly fun!!! The Genesee Civic Association is sponsoring their 4th Annual Halloween Party and Costume Contest, Sunday, October 31st from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Senior Center. There will be activities, a costume contest, pizza, cider and lots of fun! Cash prizes will be awarded for the best costume for ages 0-12. Stop by and join the fun while warming up between your Trick-or-treat outings. Thank you to the Genesee Recreation district for your help with this fun annual event.

1.) Congratulations to the Jr High Volleyball teams who played great games and claimed victory over Troy here at home last night? Nice Job!!
2.) Good Luck to Miss Tallah Revord, Genesee's Jr. Miss who will be departing for and competing in the Idaho State Jr. Miss Program this weekend!! Tallah will depart on Saturday. The competition is next Thursday through Saturday. We know Tallah will do a great job representing Genesee and we wish her all the best!
3.) THURSDAY, tomorrow October 28th, marks the end of the first quarter. **At the end of EACH quarter (and other intervals as announced) the locker rooms will be thoroughly sanitized to ensure student health. ALL STUDENTS and ATHLETES who have a locker in the locker room need to completely empty their lockers. Take all clothing items home to be laundered. The sanitizing procedure involves a bleach solution that could damage your clothing, so PLEASE remember to clean out your lockers and take all items home with you.
4.) PRE-ARRANGED ABSENCE FORMS FOR STATE VOLLEYBALL. If you are a student planning to attend the State Volleyball Tournament, Pre-arranged absence forms have been prepared and are available in the High School Office for pick-up. These absences are Parent Approved, are not field trip, and will count against your 8 days for the semester.
