Care Packages for the Troops

There is a display in the School Office for a project sponsored through the Community Church to provide holiday care packages for the troops. Lists of items needed, and place and time to help prepare the packages is included. Please be sure to check out the display. Jr/Sr High School students, this is another great opportunity for Community Give Back – simple and fun too!

Varnish Juniors Try-outs

Varnish Juniors try-outs for 5th - 10th grade girls are Sunday 4-6 PM in auxiliary gym.

December Newsletter Deadline

The December Newsletter deadline is noon on November 23rd. Please submit all items electronically to Mr. Peter Crowley at pcrowley@sd282.org Thank you.

PTO Meeting

The November PTO meeting will be Wednesday, November 18th at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Commons.

JR/SR High School News


1.) Attention JV & Varsity volleyball players - The volleyball banquet is Thursday, Nov. 19 @ 6:30. Please bring the following for our taco/Mexican dinner. Seniors - meat & drinks, Juniors & Freshman - toppings & 1 pkg. of shells (Tammie Dahmen will contact you regarding specifically what to bring), Sophomores - dessert & 1 pkg. of shells.

2.) FOOTBALL PLAYERS: The Football Banquet will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18 @ 7:00 p.m. in the Multi Purpose Room. Food assignments for the football banquet: Seniors - main dish, Juniors - desserts, Sophomores - salad and bread, Freshman - desserts. Plates, cups, napkins, silverware, and drinks will be provided

3.) Could you wish Crista Peck a Happy 12th Birthday from her Mom and Dad?

4.) Happy Birthday as well to Coach Rae!!

5.) Food Bank competition: So far the green team leads with 22.5 points with the brown team in hot pursuit with 21.5 points. Purple has one point; pink, yellow and turquoise have not yet entered the competition. In a surprise from the balcony, the black team with 20 points is in third place.

*Competition continues next week with the winner announced Monday morning, November 23. The pizza party for the winning team will be at lunch hour, Tuesday, November 24.

6.) Joelle Ghigleri needs to pay her $9 to Miranda Carter today for the Sophomore class Homecoming T-Shirt. Monday it will be $11.

7.) Good Luck to the Girls Basketball team who will kick off their season here at home tomorrow evening with a Varsity game against Lewis County beginning at 7:00 p.m.

REMINDER: The Elementary After School Study Hall is a program for student to work on class assignments and homework. Once the work is complete, students are excused to go home. There are not “activities” for students to be involved in, as this is NOT an after school child care type program. Thank you.
