Community Halloween Party

Families with children 10 and under are invited to the Civic Association Halloween Party on Thursday, October 30 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Senior Center. Pizza and juice will be served and craft tables will be set up for all to enjoy!

Through the month of October there will be a donation box in the high school office where you can make your donation. BMac Sports Basketball Clinics

When: Sundays (visit bmacsports.webs.com for future dates and fundamental focus)
Fall/Winter clinic schedule is listed at bmacsports.webs.com.
Who: Grades: 3-5 and 6-8 Boys and Girls
Times: 5:00-6:30 pm (all at same time)
Each clinic will focus on different areas of basketball fundamental development:
Ball handling, dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, post play, and defense
Cost: Genesee resident $5 non-residents $8 (each clinic attended)
BRING YOUR FAVORITE BASKETBALL IF YOU HAVE ONE.
Must register for each clinic session interested in attending. Registration form only needs to be filled out prior to the first clinic attended. Fee is due before start of each clinic. Pre-registration or registration day of clinic is acceptable. Fall/Winter Clinic dates: All Sunday evenings. Visit bmacsports.webs.com for updates and cancellations. Come cheer for the Varsity Volleyball team tonight against Potlatch in the fourth round of District Tournament play, 6:00 p.m. at the LCSC Activity Center.

Activity Period Thursday is for all FFA members interested in going to the corn maze Friday. Please meet in Mr. Morrow's classroom at 2:05.

Activity Period Friday is for HS boys interested in playing basketball. Meet with Coach Boyd in the Gym Foyer at 3:05.

The After School Program for JH/HS students is an opportunity for students to complete their work and receive additional assistance. It will run from 3:25-4:25 in the following locations:

Good luck to the Varsity Football team tonight as they travel to Kamiah for a game beginning at 7:00. Tonight is Kamiah's homecoming and they are serving a hog roast dinner before the game. Prices for the dinner are $10 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under.

There are treats in Mr. Hanson's room for the football team.

Good luck to the JH/HS Band at the U of I Homecoming Parade and halftime show at the Kibbie Dome tomorrow.

Dig 4 Pink

The Genesee Volleyball Teams would like to thank the Genesee Community, the students and staff at the school, and the music program for helping to make last nights Dig 4 Pink fundraiser a giant success.  We are still counting, but we will be proud to make a significant contribution to Gritman Medical Center's Bosom Buddy Program.

Enchilada Sale

Virginia Monk is once again selling enchiladas for her Citizenship Washington Focus 4-H project. Orders must be in by October 15. She will be making them October 18 and delivering that weekend.  The prices are $20 for a large tray, and $15 for a small tray. Chicken and beef are available.  Please give Virginia your orders or email them to her at vmonk18@sd282.org

Jr. High/High School News

The Genesee Volleyball Teams would like to thank the Genesee Community, the students and staff at the school, and the music program for helping to make last nights Dig 4 Pink fundraiser a giant success.  We are still counting, but we will be proud to make a significant contribution to Gritman Medical Center's Bosom Buddy Program.

Color groups will be meeting the next four Mondays to discuss the following:
Monday 10/20:  decide on each group’s 1-2 “posters” to submit to the staff for voting and generate ideas for Give-back day  
Monday 10/27: have students sign up for Give-back day jobs-posters voted on this week
Monday 11/3: finalize who is doing what, and what items will be needed for the jobs
Give back day will be November 6 beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Family Promise

Sammy Sperber, Genesee’s 2015 Distinguished Young Woman is collecting diapers and baby wipes as a part of her “Be Your Best Self Project”. Through the month of October there will be a donation box in the high school office where you can make your donation. Other items that can be donated include shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap etc. Family Promise’s mission is "to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence". Please help support this worthy

Enchilada Sale

Virginia Monk is once again selling enchiladas for her Citizenship Washington Focus 4-H project. Orders must be in by October 15. She will be making them October 18 and delivering that weekend.  The prices are $20 for a large tray, and $15 for a small tray. Good luck to the C/JV/V Volleyball teams tonight as they host Troy beginning at 5:00. Tonight is the Dig 4 Pink event, so please wear pink and come support the teams and various fundraisers for breast cancer research. It's also Senior Night, so we will recognize our senior Volleyball players, Mattie and Sammy. 

Sophomores and Juniors Taking the PSAT: Tomorrow morning report to first period as usual.  Once you have given your lunch orders, your teacher will release you for the test.  THE TEST LOCATION HAS BEEN CHANGED TO MR. CHAMBERS' CLASSROOM.  Please use the restroom before coming to the science lab. The only things you should bring to the lab with you are a calculator and two number two pencils (or a mechanical pencil).  No phones, laptops or backpacks will be permitted.
