Bulletin 5/24/2018


District Wide News:

4-day week this week and next week.
No School Friday May 25th, Monday May 28th.

Graduation is Saturday June 2nd at 11:00 am in the main gym.
Last day of school is Wednesday June 6th, early release at 1:30.

Great Job GHS Students and Genesee Community Members!! The Inland Northwest Blood Center was able to collect 16 lifesaving units of blood during our blood drive Wednesday, which is fantastic. That means through you and your efforts, your donations will go to help save the lives of up to 48 patients in our local hospitals!

Now accepting registrations for Kindergarten and Preschool for Fall 2018.  Please stop in and pick up a registration form or call Carly in the office at 285-1162 to put your child(ren) on the list.  Kindergarten is a full day program.  Preschool runs from 8:00 - 11:15. Cost for preschool is $225/mo. If you participated in the April child find your child is already signed up.

CHECK THE LOST AND FOUND TABLE FOR BELONGINGS!

Today after school is the last Box Top count for this school year! It’s not too late to drop them off! There is a drop box in the main office! Each non expired Box Top collected raises 10 cents!

**Reminder all visitors need to sign in and out with the office and wear a visitor badge during school hours! This is an important safety feature for our students and staff! **

Elementary News:

Elementary Year Book is on sale! www.treering.com

Elementary 5th/6th grade spring concert will be June 4th at 6:30.

**Elementary Study Hall Program has concluded for this school year. Please make other arrangements for your students after school.**

Junior High and High School News:

ASB OFFICER INFORMATION-
Presidential candidates must be in their 6th semester (or be junior class members) to be nominated. President & Vice-President will use the same petition form.

Vice President must be at least in their 4th semester (or sophomore class members) to be nominated. President & Vice-President will use the same petition form.

 Chief Justice must be at least in their 4th semester (or sophomore class members) to be nominated.

Secretary must be at least in their 2nd semester (or freshman class members) to be nominated.

Treasurer must be at least in their 2nd semester (or freshman class members) to be nominated.

All ASB nominees must have at least a 3.0 GPA to accept a nomination.

10 signatures are required for individual offices, 15 required for President-Vice President.  Signatures may come from 8th - 12th grade students during the present school year. Nominations may come from 10th – 12th grade students. 8th - 11th grade students will vote.

Petitions due in the office on June 4th, 2018 at 3:30 p.m.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

The Senior Project Open House will be Wednesday, May 30 from 7:30-8:55 am. All staff, students, parents and community members are welcome to walk through and see all of the great senior projects this year. This will be held in the multi-purpose room and the front of the school.

Students if you are taking Drivers Ed somewhere other than Genesee School you need to make sure you get a letter of compliance before school is out from the office. 

Track Athletes: Please turn in your uniforms directly to Coach Sams. Make sure you physically give your uniform to him so he knows you turned it in.

The HS Drama class will be presenting “Sir Nose, The Burger Rat” tonight the in the Multi-Purpose Room at 7pm.

Today is the last day of After School Study Hall for this year.

Sports Schedule – GO BULLDOGS

Congratulations to our Bulldog Baseball team taking home the 1A State Championship.

Our lady Bulldogs fought hard and pulled a 2nd place finish in the 1A State Championship in Softball.

And congratulations to all our participating state track athletes! Emerson Parkins placed 4th in the 200m and 400m and Edward Becker placed 4th in the shot put.
