Zone Four Vacancy on Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees has a vacancy in zone four, the seat previously held by Jan Barber. According to Idaho law, the Board has 90 days to appoint an individual from zone four to serve until the end of the term (July 2013).

Individuals from zone four who are interested in this appointment should contact Mrs. Moore, Superintendent at 285-1161 or via e-mail: wmoore@sd282.org before December 1, 2011. The Board will then conduct interviews during the week of December 5-9 before making the appointment at the December 12, 2011 regular meeting.

PTO Harvest Carnival

The Harvest Carnival will be Saturday, October 22 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Genesee School in the Multi-purpose Room. Join us at the Harvest Carnival for a fun-filled time. There will be a variety of fun activities and lots of prizes! Come have fun and help our school at the same time. This event is sponsored by the PTO.

Lost and Found

There is a lost and found table set up in the gym foyer this week through Friday. Please check the table if you are missing any clothing items.

GES

All 3rd-6th graders interested in more singing opportunities, GES will start Tuesday, November 1 in the Music Room. GES practices run from 3:20-4:20. Mr. Caldwell looks forward to seeing you on Nov. 1!

Drama Production

Come see the 8th grade's production of "Uninvited Ghost" on October 26th at 7:00 in the Multi-Purpose Room. It's a little bit spooky for Halloween, but suitable for all ages and short!

JR/SR High School News

The Volleyball team played hard, but lost to Troy in the District Championship game giving them a second place berth into the State Tournament beginning next Friday, October 28 at 3:00 at the LCSC Activity Center. Good job Bulldogs, we are proud of you!

Good luck to the JH VB teams who take on Potlatch at home tonight beginning at 5:30.

Juniors and Seniors: The annual National College Fair will be in Spokane on Tuesday, November 8th at the Spokane Convention Center. Representatives from more than one hundred colleges and universities as well as all branches of the military will be available for you to meet and talk with about their school and programs. To register in advance for this free event go to www.gotomyncf.com Attendance at this event is voluntary and on your own. Contact Mr. Scripter if you have questions about this event.

Friday there will be an Activity Period for girls interested in HS basketball at 3:05 in the Multi-Purpose Room. Coach Yorita will be here so please plan to attend if you are interested in playing.

Friday at lunch time students will vote on the PRIDE posters selected by the staff earlier this week. Posters will be displayed in the Multi-Purpose Room beginning Thursday morning.

JV Volleyball players: please get your washed uniforms to Coach Crowley ASAP. Also, your team pictures are being reprinted and will be here in a couple of weeks to correct the misspelling.

All varsity and JV volleyball players: please bring money to Brianna for coaches gifts.

JH VB and FB pictures are in, please stop by the office to pick them up.
