FOR YOUR PLANNING PURPOSES
A school year calendar for the 2010-11 school year was mailed to every student household in the district this summer, and it is posted to our website for review as well, but as an additional reminder, NEXT Friday, September 17th will be the first scheduled staff collaboration day. This means NO SCHOOL for students. There will be NO Early Release Days this school year except for the very last day of school in June.
Attending the Latah County Fair
If you are an FFA member and will be participating in the Latah County Fair, you need to fill out a pre-arranged absence form and your absences will be marked as field trip. If you participating in the Fair as a 4-H member, this is not a school sanctioned activity and your absences will be marked as Parent Excused, but will count against your total absences for the semester. You still need to fill out a pre-arranged absence form to obtain homework assignments prior to your absence. *As a reminder: With the shorter number of attendance days this school year, the attendance requirements have also changed. Students may not miss more that 8 days a semester or 16 days a year.
Elementary Flag Football
5th and 6th grade flag football teams will practice Sunday, September 12th, at the football field beginning at 4:00 p.m. See you there!!
JR/SR High School News
1.) Congratulations to the JV Football team who played very well here at home last night against Potlatch and defeated the Loggers! Way to go guys!
2.) Good Luck to the Varsity Football team who will meet Potlatch on the field here at home tonight beginning at 7:00 p.m. Go Dawgs!
3.) FFA Soil Judgers or as Mr. Derting calls you - Dirt Divers, it is that time of year. If you are on the Land and Soil Judging team or are interested in trying out - please see Mr. Morrow before Friday of this week for information. Fair participants make sure ALL of your paperwork for fair is filled out and ready to go for next week. We are decorating at 11 am this Saturday.
4.) FFA meeting Monday, September 13th at 7:00 p.m. in the Ag Shop. Greenhand night! Freshmen please feel welcome to join!!
