The Spring ISAT testing schedule has been posted on our main page (www.sd282.org). Parents are encouraged to review the schedule so they might be informed as to when their students are testing. As a remember, proper rest and a good breakfast can help to insure student success. Thank you!
Genesee's Jr. Miss Program
Genesee's Jr. Miss Competition will be held Saturday evening, April 17th beginning at 7:00 p.m. You won't want to miss this year's program and see who will be Genesee's Jr. Miss 2011. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for students 12 and under. Participants are Lacey Funke, Tauna Tyler, Tallah Revord, April Broemeling and Rachel Krick. Good Luck Ladies.
FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN PROJECT
Friday will be the last day for loose change donations to the Feed My Starving Children Project. Thank you to everyone who has donated to this worthwhile project to help feed hungry children throughout the world. If you would still like to donate, there is a donation jar in the High School Office, but please bring all donations by end of day Friday. Thank you!
SHADE FOUNDATION POSTER CONTEST
Anna Sobczyk, was chosen as the state finalist in this year's SunWise with SHADE Poster contest. The SHADE Foundation will be sending several prizes to our school for Anna and for the classroom. Her poster will be displayed online starting this Friday until May 5 for the nationwide online voting. The winner, determined by the number of votes, will receive a family trip to Disney World, and the school will receive a WeatherBug Weather Tracking Station. The posters will be displayed at www.shadefoundation.org. Congratulations Anna!!
JR/SR High School News
1.) Good Luck to the JV Baseball Team who will travel to Colton for a game beginning at 4:45 p.m. Go Dawgs!
2.) Good Luck to the Softball Team who will be meeting Timberline on the field today at Airport park beginning also beginning at 4:45 p.m. Best of Luck Ladies!!
3.) 7th grade science meet in Mr. Hanson's room today during 5th hour. Botany and Environmental Science class meet in Mr. Crowley's room 6th hour today.
4.) NID Livestock and Horse Judging in Asotin on April 23rd. Sign-up before this Friday in the ag shop. **Need 2 more livestock judges and horse judging is full.
5.) Forestry and Ag Mechanics Sign-up in the Ag shop. 2 Jr-high and 2 Sr-high teams. Need to sign-up by this Friday. ***Jr High Forestry teams are full, but still need two Sr High Team members.
6.) Banana split / Ice cream social for the Jr. High Girls Basketball Team will be held on Monday, April 19th at 6:30 p.m. Please bring the following: Tori-Bowls or boats (enough for 60), Mattie and Natalie-Spoons & napkins (enough for 30), Elisabeth, Courtney & Raechel-drinks & cups if needed, Syd, Sophie and Holly - Bananas(at least 6 each), Kayla, Sam & Brittany-Ice cream vanilla (at least 2 qts ea.), Sammie and Steph-syrups(2 each), Taylor & Halley-toppings(sprinkles, gummies, etc.)
7.) Jr. High boys basketball players please meet in Mr. Crowley's room at 3:00 p.m. on Friday with your CLEANED jerseys and a pencil.
