Bulletin 3/6/2019


District Wide News:

Full 5 day weeks the next two weeks. There will be no school on Friday March 22nd and Spring Break will be March 25th through March 29th.

**Reminder all visitors need to sign in and out with the office and wear a visitor badge during school hours! This is an important safety feature for our students and staff! **

Elementary News:

GES will be TODAY from 3:20 to 4:30.

Mars Rover Teams:

Mr. Meyer’s team will meet TODAY after school, in the library.  

Genesee schools will be hosting a Hunter Education Course Monday April 8th through Friday April 12 (daily from 5:30 to 8:30). There will also be a required field day on Sunday April 14th from 8:00-3:00. Registration is required and space is limited, visit idfg.idaho.gov to register online. After School Study Hall:
**Please remember this program is to help students be successful in completing homework and to get extra help when needed. This program is not intended to be used as daycare, if you are expecting your student to remain for the duration of the program he/she needs to have a book to read or work to be completed quietly. If your student has finished all work and has nothing to work on he/she will be allowed to sign out of the program. Please ensure you are able to make arrangements to pick up your student or have him/her walk home.

Junior High and High School News:

Junior Girls:
Your American Legion Auxiliary of Genesee is seeking a representative to attend Girls State, a week-long intensive training that teaches young women responsible citizenship and love for God and Country.  This training program teaches participants how to be informed and engaged citizens, how to explore issues and interests, and how to participate in meetings using parliamentary procedure.  The 2019 Idaho Syringa Girls State Session will be held June 9-14, 2019, at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho.  To be eligible, you must complete your Junior year of high school this June, have at least one more semester of high school remaining, hold a GPA of 2.0 or higher for your Sophomore year and first semester of their Junior year.  If you are interested, please email Wendy Woods at wwoods@genesee-id.com by TODAY for the next step in the process.

3 on 3 Basketball Tournament in Troy- Troy High School is hosting a basketball tournament in memory of Wyatt Yager on March 23rd. If you are interested, please see Carly in the office for more information and how to register. Registration deadline is March 10th.
