District Wide News:

4-day week, no school Friday 1/18.

Join us this evening at 6:00 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room for a Community Coffee Event with the Genesee School Board.

Sunday January 20th from 2-4 at the Senior Center there will be a gathering to say goodbye to School Board Trustee Susan Rigg and her family. Genesee Schools would like to thank Mrs. Rigg for her years of service with the Genesee School District and wish the Rigg family the best in their new adventure.

Genesee High School is hosting their first blood drive of 2019!  Vitalant (previously Inland Northwest Blood Center) will be bringing the donation bus to the school on Monday January 21st. Visit vitalant.org, call 1-877-258-4825, or visit the High School office to sign up for a time slot between 11:30 and 4:30. Permission forms for students aged 16 and 17 are located in the office. 

**Reminder all visitors need to sign in and out with the office and wear a visitor badge during school hours! This is an important safety feature for our students and staff! **

Elementary News:

Our next Box Top Collection will be February 28th! Every non-expired Box Top collected earns our school .10 cents, please send them in!

After School Study Hall:
**Please remember this program is to help students be successful in completing homework and to get extra help when needed. This program is not intended to be used as daycare, if you are expecting your student to remain for the duration of the program he/she needs to have a book to read or work to be completed quietly. If your student has finished all work and has nothing to work on he/she will be allowed to sign out of the program. Please ensure you are able to make arrangements to pick up your student or have him/her walk home.

Junior High and High School News:

1/18 Friday, Music Department is hosting a Middle School Hang Out Night from 5:30 to 10:00. Cost is $15.00 per student, includes pizza dinner and FUN!

Ozzie Kannikkeberg Fundraiser- There will be a bake sale held January 26th at the Kendrick/Lapwai games. 100% of the funds generated go directly into a scholarship fund for Genesee graduates. Baked good donations can be dropped off after 2:00 in the gym foyer on the 26th. For information on how to make a monetary donation contact Carly in the office.

Safe and Sober tickets are on sale now, 10.00/ticket. See a Senior or their parent(s) to purchase and support the Safe and Sober Graduation Program!

Thursday January 17th: Boys Basketball at Troy. C team plays at 4:30, JV at 6:00, and Varsity at 7:30. Bus leaves at 3:30.

Saturday January 19th: Basketball Quad at Home vs Kamiah. Boys JV plays at 3:00, V plays at 4:30. Girls JV plays at 6:00, Varsity plays at 7:30.
