Professional Work Day!

At Bonners Ferry on Wednesday, Emily Trees, Winston Durham, Jaeli Peterson, and Virginia Monk competed in Dairy Foods and took first place with Emily Trees as high individual, Jaeli Peterson, 6th, and Winston Durham, 8th. The Agricultural Mechanics team also took first place with Emily Trees as high individual for tool ID, and Brianna Murray, 3rd. Brittany Young was high individual for PVC piping. Kade Best was high individual for small gas engines, and electrical, and took third place in gas welding. Thursday, Emily and Sara Trees, Brianna Murray, and Kjersti Clawson took first place in the forestry competition. Kendra Murray, Carly Allen, Dawson Durham, and Carson Barton took second place in the junior division. The FFA took first place in all three events, way to go!

8th Graders & their Parents:
 REMINDER-  The Idaho State Department of Education requires that every student have a Four Year Educational Plan on file at the school by the end of the eighth grade year.  The annual eighth grade Four Year Plan workshop is scheduled for next Tuesday evening, May 17th.  It will take place in the multi-purpose room from 7:00-8:00pm.  I hope to see all eighth graders and at least one of their parents at the workshop to learn more about this requirement and to complete their Four Year Plans.   Jon Scripter, Guidance Counselor

Volleyball Camp coming to Genesee this summer! Students entering grades 8-12 will have the opportunity to attend a full day camp (sessions from 9 am to noon and 1-4 pm June 20-22). There will also be an evening camp (5-7 pm June 20-21) for girls entering 4-7 grades). Lunch Accounts
Just a reminder to parents that negative lunch account balances must be paid by school year end in order for the kids to receive final report cards. Remember, parents can access student information, including lunch account balances, by logging into the WeBSIS Portal on the school website (SD282.ORG).  If you are having problems getting onto the WeBSIS Portal you can call Jeremy Cerovski at 282-1161 ext 210
