Community Day 2012
The Genesee Civic Association has opportunities for groups or organizations to fund raise on Community Day. Ideas that are available are as follows:
Bouncy House
Dunk Tank
Snow Cones (machine rental $45 from Hahn Rental)
Kids Carnival games
Walking Tacos or similar food items
Any event you can think of!
We also have events that we need volunteers to help with. Civic will be willing to make a donation to
the group in exchange for their volunteering.

This year Community Day will be honoring the Genesee School District and the past and present
administration, teachers and support staff. If anyone knows the contact information for past staff, we

Junior High and High School News
The baseball double header scheduled for tonight at home has been cancelled and there will be no practice for baseball players.
Softball players will practice right after school in the auxiliary gym.
JH dance this Friday, April 27 from 7:00-9:30 in the multipurpose room, $2 admission.
If you are interested in prom photos, please stop by the HS office for an order envelope.
Prom Information:
Voting for Prom King and Queen will be held today at lunch in the gym foyer. Guys if you are wondering what to wear, dress pants, dress shirt and a tie would be fine, a tux is not required. An out of town guest sign up sheet will be available in the high school office. Please sign your guests up by Friday afternoon at 3:00. Prom will begin at 9:00 and end at midnight this Saturday, April 28 at the Quality Inn in Clarkston. There will be no ticket pre sales, admission will be at the door for $7 per person and pop will be available for $2 per glass.
The spring sports Booster Poster photo will be taken Wednesday, May 2 rain or shine!
Color group food drive sponsored by Sam Hoffman. There will be food collection boxes in each color group classroom. Pink: Mrs. Bardwell, Blue: Mr. Barham, Black: Mr. Hanson, Green: Mrs. Sperber, Purple: Mrs. Tilleman, Red: Mr. Crowley and Yellow: Mr. Derting. The winner of the competition will receive a pizza party!
