Teacher Appreciation Week


May 2nd through 6th is National Teacher/Staff Appreciation week! Thank you to all the wonderful teachers and support staff who do their best to provide a strong education and a safe environment in which to learn here in Genesee!!

GES Singers


GES Singers WILL meet today from 3:20 to 4:20 in the Music Room. Only 3 practices left with new music! See you there!

Calling All Runners/Walkers


May is National Foster Care Month, and to help raise funds for our local foster kids, there will be a Fun Run/Walk held at the Moscow High Track from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7th. Suggested donations are $5 for singles, $7 for couple and $10 for families. Every lap you complete you will receive a raffle ticket for some really great prizes!! Please consider beginning your day with this great event!!

COW CREEK RUN


The 30th Annual Cow Creek Run will be held in conjunction with Genesee Community Day on Saturday, June 11th at 8:30 in the morning. Registration forms are available at City Hall and in the High School Office. There are 2 and 5 mile courses that you can choose to run or walk. It's a great way to kick off Community Day and is open to ALL ages, so join in the fun!! Registrations are due by June 1st for Early Registration. Late registrations will be accepted beginning at 7:30 a.m. the morning of the race. Early Registrations including commemorative t-shirts are $12 ($15 for late registers). Early registrations not including t-shirt are $5 ($6 for late registers). *A copy of the registration form is posted on the bulletin board outside the High School Office for additional information, or you can contact Kathy Zenner, Cow Creek Run Race Coordinator.

PTO NEWS


*The Final PTO Meeting this school year will be May 4th at 7pm in Mrs. Hanson's room. Everyone is encouraged and welcomed to attend.

JR/SR High School News


1.) Both the Baseball and Softball games were suspended yesterday due to inclement weather conditions. Both games will be resume once times and fields have been confirmed. Details to be announced.

2.) Good Luck to the JV Baseball team who will travel to Potlatch today for a game beginning at 4:45 p.m. *Athletes to be dismissed at 3:05 p.m.

3.) Good Luck as well to the Softball team who will be traveling to Cottonwood today for a game against Prairie beginning at 5:00 p.m. *Athletes to be dismissed at 2:20 p.m.

4.) The Jr. High Boys Basketball teams will have their end-of-season dessert banquet on May 4th at 7:00 p.m. 7th graders plan to bring a dessert and 8th graders bring ice cream. See you there! *Please NOTE the time change and we will be meeting in the Commons. ***Athletes, please stop by Mr. Crowley's room to vote for the awards by end of day on Tuesday, May 3rd.

5.) The annual FFA banquet will be held on May 4th at 6:00 p.m. in the multi. Freshmen and Sophomores are asked to bring side dishes or a salad; Juniors please bring rolls and butter; and Seniors please bring desserts. Hope to see you there!

6.) SENIORS: Only 10 have you have returned your contracts for your Safe and Sober all night party. They are due to Mrs. Pickard in the office NO LATER than end of day on Friday, May 6th. Thank you!

7.) The Annual FFA Flower Sale will be held this Saturday the 7th, at 9:00 a.m. in the PNW parking lot. This is a perfect gift for Mom for Mother's Day (especially if YOU do the planting), and supports the local FFA chapter! Come check it out!!

8.)Ag Mech and Forestry participants need to have parent letter turned in by this Friday, pre-excused by next Tuesday.
