District Wide News:

The last day of school is TODAY!!! Early release at 1:30, have a safe and fun summer break, see you in August!

Now accepting registrations for Kindergarten and Preschool for Fall 2018.  Please stop in and pick up a registration form or call Carly in the office at 285-1162 to put your child(ren) on the list.  Kindergarten is a full day program.  Preschool runs from 8:00 - 11:15. Cost for preschool is $225/mo. If you participated in the April child find your child is already signed up.

Genesee Civic Association is looking for a group who would be willing to run the dunk tank this Saturday during Community Days for a few hours! A great fundraising opportunity! Contact Nyla Roach at 208.816.6136.

Summer Reading Program: The Great Summer Reading Adventure of 2018 Begins June 1st! Register online @ LCLD.NORTHWESTREADS.ORG or at your local City Library branch beginning June 1.

The library will register all participants online, even if they choose to track on paper. Read at least 45 days between June 1 – August 15 to receive a PRIZE BOOK and to be entered to win FUN PRIZES!

For every day you read, put a sticker on your reading log, and/or log it online. Every 15 days of reading is a milestone. Join us for awesome weekly programs! Participation is free and open to all youth.

2018 Children’s Matinee Summer Series tickets are SOLD OUT at the school. Tickets are still available for purchase at Village Centre Cinemas.

Junior High and High School News:

All current 7th-11th grade students must turn in their completed course selection sheets for next year before you will be allowed to check out on Wednesday.

High school students who wish to take online courses next fall must also turn in a Fall 2018 Online Course Sign Up form before Mr. Scripter can register you in IDLA for those fall courses.  Please turn those forms in ASAP as the fall IDLA courses are filling up fast. 

Both forms require a parent signature.

Students if you are taking Drivers Ed somewhere other than Genesee School you need to make sure you get a letter of compliance before school is out from the office. 

Track Athletes: Please turn in your uniforms directly to Coach Sams. Make sure you physically give your uniform to him so he knows you turned it in, you cannot check out without having turned in or paid for your uniform!

 9-11th grade dance TONIGHT in the commons. 7-9 pm, a photo-booth will be available from 7-8 pm. There will also be candy and beverages! $5 for admission and $4 for the photo-booth!

Presidential candidates must be in their 6th semester (or be junior class members) to be nominated. President & Vice-President will use the same petition form.

Vice President must be at least in their 4th semester (or sophomore class members) to be nominated. President & Vice-President will use the same petition form.

 Chief Justice must be at least in their 4th semester (or sophomore class members) to be nominated.

Secretary must be at least in their 2nd semester (or freshman class members) to be nominated.

Treasurer must be at least in their 2nd semester (or freshman class members) to be nominated.

All ASB nominees must have at least a 3.0 GPA to accept a nomination.

10 signatures are required for individual offices, 15 required for President-Vice President.  Signatures may come from 8th - 12th grade students during the present school year. Nominations may come from 10th – 12th grade students. 8th - 11th grade students will vote.
