BMac Sports Basketball Clinics


Hosted by Brandon McIntosh, Genesee High School Girls Basketball Coach
Where: Genesee High School Gyms, Genesee, Idaho
When: Sundays (visit bmacsports.webs.com for future dates and fundamental focus)
Fall/Winter clinic schedule is listed at bmacsports.webs.com.
Who: Grades: 3-5 and 6-8 Boys and Girls
Times: 5:00-6:30 pm (all at same time)
Each clinic will focus on different areas of basketball fundamental development:
Ball handling, dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, post play, and defense
Cost: Genesee resident $5 non-residents $8 (each clinic attended)
BRING YOUR FAVORITE BASKETBALL IF YOU HAVE ONE.
Must register for each clinic session interested in attending. Registration form only needs to be filled out prior to the first clinic attended. Fee is due before start of each clinic. Jr. High/High School News


High School girls basketball has 1 opening for team manager. If interested, please contact or speak with Coach McIntosh.

The Football Banquet will be held on Sunday, November 16th at 3:00pm in the Multi Purpose room. Each family is asked to bring a dessert to share.  Plates and utensils etc. will be provided.  We will set-up and decorate at 2:15 if you would like to help. We hope to see everyone there!

IDFY Testing (P and Pizza) is Wednesday November 19, 2014 from 5 - 7pm - If you did not sign-up for IDFY last year, you need to get an application from Mrs. Sperber - If you have your form in from last year, you just need to show up next Wednesday.  If you do not test, we will eliminate you from the roster.  If you have a conflict that night, but still want to be a member, see Mrs. Sperber or Mrs. Tilleman.


The After School Program for JH/HS students is an opportunity for students to complete their work and receive additional assistance. It will run from 3:25-4:25 in the following locations:

LCYAC Fundraiser


Come watch The LC Pea Shooters (featuring local community members) vs. The Harlem Ambassadors basketball teams play at Memorial Gym on the University of Idaho campus tonight at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults and can be purchased in the HS office. Local community members Doug Stout, Lee Tilleman and Brandon McIntosh will be representing Genesee for The LC Pea Shooters!

Genesee Schools will hold an assembly to recognize and honor local Veterans this morning at 9:30 a.m. in the Main Gym. All community members are invited to attend.

Book Fair  


Thurs. 11/6  7:30 am - 7:30 pm:  Supervised activities at book fair for students while parents/guardians have conferences. Open until volley ball games are over, as well. 
Fri. 11/7 7:30 am - 4:00 pm:  LAST DAY. No School. Conference activities will be available, same as Thursday night.  Or come alone for quiet shopping time. There will be a Coin War for the "All For Books Campaign": Knights vs. Damsels.  Send spare change by Wednesday! Battle for who goes first in the lunch line on Thursday - Boys or Girls?!? 



Parent Teacher Conferences


There will be no school for students this Friday, November 7, due to parent teacher conferences. School will resume Monday, November 10 at 8:00 a.m.


Lost and Found Table 


Please check the lost and found table outside the District Office when you are here for conferences, there are several items needing to be claimed. 


Varnish Club Volleyball


There will be an informational meeting for all new Varnish Club Volleyball players and parents at 5:45 pm tonight. The meeting will be in Pete Crowley's room (balcony above the multi-purpose room).  Varnish Club Volleyball is open to females in 4-10 grades.  If you already have Varnish experience, you should have received an email from Pete Crowley.  If you did not and
are interested, either send an email to pcrowley@sd282.org or come to the meeting on Thursday.

The first PRIDE assembly of the year is today at 11:30 in the main gym.

Today is Give Back Day! Check in to your 5th hour class and then report to your job alike group. Teachers will have a list of students and duties.

Good luck to the JH Volleyball teams who host Kendrick and Troy in a tri-match tonight. All action will take place on two nets in the main gym. Genesee will play Kendrick at 4:30, Troy and Kendrick will play at 5:30 and at 6:30 Genesee will take on Troy.

Good luck to Sammy who will be competing in the DYW State Program today, Friday and Saturday in Coeur d' Alene!

A reminder that Parent-Teacher Conferences are this evening from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  A conference is encouraged with all parents, not just students who have deficient grades.

Book fair needs Jr/Sr High students this afternoon and evening 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm . We have activities going on for families who need a place for their kiddos to be while they attend conferences and we need to have helpers with those activities. Come for a couple hours or come for the whole time. This would count as community service hours for anyone who needs them. Please stop by book fair and sign up.

The Bulldog Football team will play at Raft River High School (in Malta, Idaho) at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8. Good luck Bulldogs! Log on to idahosports.com if you are interested in listening to the game.

Clothing Exchange


Please stop in after your conference to drop, swap or shop for free clothing items. Get rid of what you can't use and take home something you can. The clothing exchange will be Thursday, November 6 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. and Friday, November 7 from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m at the school. Donations will be accepted November 3-6. Please bring your clean, gently used clothing items to the school multipurpose room.  


Varnish Club Volleyball


There will be an informational meeting for all new Varnish Club Volleyball players and parents at 5:45 pm on Thursday, Nov. 6. Come watch The LC Pea Shooters (featuring local community members) vs. The Harlem Ambassadors basketball teams play at Memorial Gym on the University of Idaho campus on Wednesday, November 12 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults and can be purchased in the HS office. This event is a fundraiser for LCYAC. Local community members Doug Stout, Lee Tilleman and Brandon McIntosh will be representing Genesee for The LC Pea Shooters!

Who: Grades: 3-5 and 6-8 Boys and Girls
Times: 5:00-6:30 pm (all at same time)
Each clinic will focus on different areas of basketball fundamental development:
Ball handling, dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, post play, and defense
Cost: Genesee resident $5 non-residents $8 (each clinic attended)
BRING YOUR FAVORITE BASKETBALL IF YOU HAVE ONE.
Must register for each clinic session interested in attending. Registration form only needs to be filled out prior to the first clinic attended. Fee is due before start of each clinic. Safe & Sober Graduation Committee Meeting tonight in Michelle Sperber’s classroom at 7:00 p.m.

The first PRIDE assembly of the year is tomorrow at 11:30 in the main gym.

Thursday is Give Back Day! Check in to your 5th hour class and then report to your job alike group. Teachers will have a list of students and duties.

Good luck to Sammy who will be competing in the DYW State Program this Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Coeur d' Alene!

A reminder that Parent-Teacher Conferences are Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  A conference is encouraged with all parents, not just students who have deficient grades.

Book fair needs Jr/Sr High students on Thursday afternoon and evening 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm . We have activities going on for families who need a place for their kiddos to be while they attend conferences and we need to have helpers with those activities. Come for a couple hours or come for the whole time. This would count as community service hours for anyone who needs them. Please stop by book fair and sign up.

The Bulldog Football team will play at Raft River High School (in Malta, Idaho) at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8. Good luck Bulldogs!
 
The After School Program for JH/HS students is an opportunity for students to complete their work and receive additional assistance. It will run from 3:25-4:25 in the following locations:
