Elementary Music Festival


The elementary bands and GES will attend the Elementary Music Festival in Lewiston Wednesday and will perform on the following schedule:
GES: 12:55 at Emanuel Baptist Church
Elementary Bands: beginning at 2:10 at the Salvation Army Building on 21st Street


Book Fair Information


The online book fair is up and running right now through Tuesday May 19. Orders should arrive at school by June 2.  Did you know you can  make an online wish list for your student that friends and family may shop from, and the books will ship directly to the school for free? Genesee Cow Creek Run-Forms Due Soon!


All forms for the annual Community Day Cow Creek Run are available in the High School Office. Community Day is Saturday, June 13 and the run begins at 8:00 a.m. You can choose a 2 mile run or a 5 mile run. There is a relay option for ages 13-18, if you would like to get a team together for the race. The early registration deadline is May 22. Shirts are available, but only to those who register early.

 

Jr. High/High School News


Congratulations to the Softball Team who won the District II 1A tournament on Saturday! They will now face Notus on Friday, May 15 at 12:00 p.m. at Airport Park in Lewiston in the state tournament. Good luck Bulldogs!

Congratulations to the Baseball Team who won the District II 1A tournament on Saturday! They will begin state tournament play at 9:00 a.m. Friday at the College of Idaho in Caldwell. Good luck Bulldogs!

Congratulations to  the following athletes on qualifying for State Track and Field Competition:
Beau Tilleman (shot, discus and High Jump)
Cierra Mayer (Long Jump, Triple Jump, 100M Dash and 200M dash)
Anna Sobczyk (1600M run) 

And to those athletes who set their Personal Records at Regionals and a special recognition goes out
to Cierra Mayer for breaking the school record in the 100M dash set by Dana Tyler in 1978. Way to go Bulldogs!
 

Congratulations to Evyn for qualifying for state in 3 events at the District 3 High School Rodeo! She will be competing at Pocatello the week of June 6-13th in team roping, breakaway roping and goat tying.

Cost Rica travelers and parents: please plan to attend a very important planning meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the Spanish Classroom.

Genesee T-ball and Pitching Machine Team Information


It’s time for Tball and pitching machine registration in Genesee! Last year we had enough players to form 4 small Tball and 3 small pitching machine teams! Please fill out the form, attach $15 for each Tball and $25 for each pitching machine player and get them to Makenzie Stout in 4th grade BEFORE May 10. Season will run June and July and all games and practices will be held here in Genesee! Volunteer coaches are needed!! Questions? email Tammy at dtstout@frontier.com

The baseball team plays Troy at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Orofino High School. The Softball team begins tournament action at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Orofino Elementary School. Tournament brackets can be found on the school district web sight.  Good luck Bulldogs!

The District I and II Regional Track Meet is this Friday, May 8 and Saturday May 9 in Lapwai. Friday's meet begins at 1:00 p.m. and Saturday's meet begins at 10:00 a.m. Good luck Bulldogs!
